Built in 1790 as a Tavern and overnight stage coach stop on the NYC-Montreal run. This working farm is located in the lower Champlain Valley of Vermont. Facing east the house has a 40 mile panoramic view of the Green Mts. Bedroom suite has a full bath and adjoining library. 15 miles from Castleton University and Green Mt. College and 24 miles from Middlebury College. Only minutes away from the last boat landing on Lake Champlain and a short ferry ride away from Fort Ticonderoga with the Hubbardton Battle Field 10 minutes to the east. 24 miles from Rutland and 38 miles from Pico and Killington Ski areas. There are three bedrooms in the house that are available for booking at $150.00 each room per night. They all have a full private bath. One has a Queen bed, one with a Full bed and one with two double beds. If a group of people want to reserve two or three rooms then there will be discount available. Ask when booking. Access to fishing and hiking on numerous ponds and lakes within 20 minutes of the farm. We breed Trakehner horses, make hay, breed an occasional litter of Standard poodles, house Willie's BBQ (seasonal) on the farm. Amble parking and wireless high speed internet available.
