The beach is 150 metres away in a straight line and can be reached via a staircase, or 400 metres by an easier path. Thanks to its hillside location, it offers an impressive panoramic view of the bay and the sea. The beach stretches over approximately 370 metres in length and 30 metres in width, featuring crystal-clear water and a gently sloping sandy shore. The bay opens like a natural amphitheatre facing the Mediterranean. On the sunlit slopes, white houses and small apartments nestle among pine trees and oleanders. Here, “Costa Brava” doesn’t mean crowded promenades, mass tourism or all-inclusive hotel resorts. Canyelles is a quiet residential area without large hotels or high-rise buildings, located just 3 km from the centre of Roses (Girona – Costa Brava) and less than 40 minutes by car from the French border. Right next to the Cap de Creus Natural Park – an area of breathtaking beauty where unique geology shapes the landscape. Here, the coastline — the “Costa Brava” — is truly wild: the sea meets the mountains, the Pyrenees merge into the Mediterranean, and countless unspoiled beaches and coves with crystal-clear water invite you to swim, snorkel and dive.
