Secluded and comfortable, our static home is nestled in the Orchard at Strongate Farm, just a 10-minute drive from the vibrant market town of Bridport and the stunning Jurassic Coast at West Bay. Offering a peaceful farm-stay experience, it’s surrounded by open green space and private countryside, with a bridleway running through the farm for scenic walks. A perfect base to relax, recharge, and explore all that Dorset and the Jurassic Coast has to offer. The Cabin offers single level accommodation and sits within the Orchard with convenient car parking nearby. Inside, the Cabin features an open-plan galley kitchen with a gas cooker and a comfy lounge area with an electric fire. There are two bedrooms, both with wardrobes: one with a double bed and the other with two smaller single beds. Shower room with separate toilet. All bedding and towels are included. Outside, guests can enjoy a large green space, ideal for children to explore, play football, or have fun on the trampoline (under supervision). The Cabin also features a decking area with a table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining after a day of exploring. A BBQ and firepit are also located within the orchard for relaxed evenings. As a small working farm, we are home to beef cattle, sheep, ducks, geese, and rescue chickens, with a stream also flowing through the farm, offering a charming and family-friendly countryside experience We happily welcome well-behaved dogs (small additional charge) and a travel cot and highchair are available. Strongate Orchard is the ideal spot to relax, enjoy the countryside, and explore all that Dorset and the Jurassic Coast have to offer. Guest access The Cabin and the entire orchard are exclusively for your use, with an additional open grassy area nearby that you are welcome to enjoy. Bridport (4 miles) is famous for its twice weekly street market and thriving vintage quarter. The harbour of West Bay is situated on the Jurassic coastline which has World Heritage status. For the fossil hunter the coastline at Charmouth & Lyme Regis are a 20 minute drive away. Local wine tasting tours available at Furleigh Estate and a cider tour & tasting session at Dorset Nectar, an organic cider farm, highly recommended. Our nearest beach is West Bay, 3 miles away, or Eype. For those seeking a flat and very sandy beach then Weymouth is well worth a visit Delightful Dorset pubs await you and West Dorset is also full of footpaths for every type of walker & cyclist. Other things to note Mobile signal can be patchy depending on your network, however we have good wifi which is free of charge. The farm has spring water and please no smoking within the cabin.
