Private room with two beds, a queen & a king single. And your own private bathroom, in a beautiful character home in an eclectic area of cafes and shops. Breakfast items provided: cereal, eggs, toast, yoghurt, fruit, coffee... 1 min walk to tram stop, 10 min to train station (or 3 tram stops). Not far to CBD - Fed Square, Collins St, NGV, etc. 1/2 hr walk to Fitzroy & Collingwood. We also have a single room outside on Airbnb. PLEASE READ HOUSE RULES. No smokers. No essential oils, sprays The space This two storeyed terraced home is an early 1870s house thought to have once been the home of the local Carlton United Brewery manager. The beautiful polychromatic brick façade is made of Hawthorn brick. Set very near the Yarra River there are peaceful pathways for walking, jogging and cycling nearby. Cynthia, Clarke and Rufus the dog live here. Occasionally there is a single Airbnb guest in our small room outside. Guest access Guests are welcome to come and go whenever you like, and to use all living spaces, and even our computers if you need them, please ask. WIFI is provided, and there are sockets and a table for computers in your room. You will have your own private bathroom with toilet and shower, shampoo etc.. Breakfast is provided - and we find people prefer "self help", so we show you where everything is, and how to use the coffee machine. You are welcome to use the kitchen for cooking, making tea, etc..(please avoid cooking three meals a day because we then feel like we can't use our own kitchen!). Use what you need, ask if you're not sure; and you're welcome to eat in our kitchen, dining or living room. However, with so many eateries nearby and throughout Melbourne, many guests eat out every day! We have plenty of choices of pillow for all heads, and blankets and duvets are available, and the room has good heating and cooling. There is heating throughout the house too. We will either leave you to yourselves or engage with you, depending upon what you want. Just let us know, or we'll figure it out! If you plan to bring a car, please let us know before arrival because we will need to ensure a visitor parking permit is available. During your stay We can spend time with guests or leave them alone, whatever you prefer! We don't mind, just let us know. We can help you with your planning and how to get around if you need assistance. Other things to note We have a funny little dog called Rufus here, he will bark at you at first, and then be your friend. He is very sweet and might want to follow you around the house while you are here.
