Enjoy your happy little beach house + garden whilst discovering Port Fairy, a historic seaside fishing village located at the end of the iconic Great Ocean Road. Sommarhus is perfectly suited to couples, a small family or beach bums wishing to spend their days by the sea, wandering around town enjoying the local cafes + stores or simply lazing about the house or outside in the green + leafy garden. The space Open up the house on warm summer days to the ocean breeze (please note Sommarhus has NO air conditioning), whilst on the cooler days enjoy a book on the cosy couches, tunes on the record player, a board game or watch a flick on the TV besides the gas log fire. Or perhaps relax on the sunny back deck overlooking the large garden which will be your favourite spot to dine, read the weekend papers, enjoy a G + T, pull out the yoga mat or to simply just chill. Fully self contained with carport for two cars. The kitchen has been decorated for those who love preparing good food + is well set up with good quality equipment + utensils including a Nespresso coffee machine with Urban Brew biodegradable pods. We stock a basic pantry + the garden is full of fresh herbs + fruit trees. There is a Weber BBQ that you are welcome to use. A maximum of 4 guests can comfortably enjoy Sommarhus (including infants). Beds are made up using cosy and luxurious MicroCloud bedding and French flax linen. You can choose from 2 x Queen rooms OR 1 x Queen room + 1 x twin single room. One bedroom also has a desk set up if you need a quiet space to work from home with super reliable and fast WIFI to keep you connected. Spacious bathroom with both bath and shower (toilet is NOT separate). An additional outdoor hot + cold shower (private + sheltered) is a great addition to wash away the salt + sand or to just enjoy under the stars. You may have a few friendly + cuddly chooks + a couple of fish that you’ll be asked to feed whilst you are staying too. We welcome your well behaved pet to come stay on request (max of ONE only) as there’s a large fully fenced yard with a sun drenched back deck with an adjoining laundry where they can snooze. The house is simply not large enough or equipped for larger families. Other things to note There is one vintage style bike with helmet in the carport that you are welcome to use.
