Description

This Japanese traditional house is over 100 years old and we spent over a year renovating it, incorporating African and Middle Eastern elements. It's located in the right back of the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, and in the middle of Yashima temple and Yakuri temple that also included in the 88 temples of the pilgrimage.Other attractions nearby include the world-famous George Nakashima Museum and Nagare Studio, so we recommend using our rooms as a base for courses for those interested in art. The space This traditional Japanese building, which is over 100 years old, was renovated over the course of a year by a craftsman who also works as a furniture dealer in the Middle East and Africa. While soaking in the glass-enclosed bath, you can view the beautiful ridgeline of Yashima, a national park and symbol of Takamatsu. The room consists of two Japanese rooms, one 6 tatami mats and one 8 tatami mats[There is no wall between the two.], which serve as a bedroom/living room, a guest's private toilet and bathroom, a detached dining room with an external kitchen (with a roof), and a wooden deck leading off from that. Guest access Our facility consists of a building that is over 100 years old and an extension. Our host family lives in the extension (on the right hand side as you climb the slope). The front part of the main house (the central part of the building) is used as a Moroccan carpet store called Maroc, and the entire space beyond that (on the far left as you climb the slope) is exclusively for our guests. The bedroom/living room room, one 6 tatami mats and one 8 tatami mats in size [There is no wall between these two.], the toilet, bathroom, detached dining room with an external kitchen (with a roof), and the wooden deck that leads to it are all exclusively for our guests. Only the slope leading up to the building is shared with the host family. During your stay Generally, we handle check-in face-to-face. At that time, we will provide a brief room tour and provide you with some recommendations for nearby places. We also run a fish shop, so we can sell you fresh fish upon prior request on business days.【SASHIMI -raw fish etc】 Other things to note There is a mountain directly behind the building, so there is a possibility of spiders, centipedes, and other insects appearing. Although we have been taking measures against these for many years, it is not possible to prevent them 100%. We do not recommend this accommodation for people who dislike insects or those with small children. Of course, we always take all possible measures, so in the unlikely event that an insect does appear, it is usually weak or dead.
