Sleeps up to 39 people spread over 18 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. 3 more than 70 sqm and 4 slightly smaller common areas. Other features: -2x open fireplace - Large garden with sauna house - Equipment for meetings available The hosting gives us a lot of pleasure and so we decided to make our old ferry house near Glückstadt available for family reunions, offsites, yoga retreats or similar occasions in addition to our popular and mostly fully booked country house Kurzenmoor. We have been carefully renovated for months to use the historic building not only for ourselves, but also to open it up to our guests. While the loving details have of course been preserved, the house has been preserved above all brighter rooms and 9 new, individual bathrooms. Our offer consists of two houses separated by a 5m wide courtyard. 1) The Old Ferry House 2) The bakery Old Ferry House: The listed Old Ferry House from 1630 is characterized by sloping walls, curved, ancient beams and small cozy bedrooms, the room with valuable Delft tiles and the historic hall with its listed ceiling. This is also so special because it was produced in the 17th century by the neighboring, traditional Wewelsflether shipyard after the model of the cabins installed in the large windjammers at that time. To the bakery: Until 20 years ago, bread was baked here, then the ailing building has been replaced by a modern social house. With its front facade modelled on the historic façade, the baker's house fits perfectly into the ensemble of the Wewelsflether dike series. From the garden side, light flows through the house through the glass facade and thus forms the ideal framework for a meeting of larger groups with its large, bright rooms. The modern baker's house offers on two levels next to six bedrooms two light-flooded rooms, each over 70 square meters, which radiate a modern straightforward cosiness thanks to the massive oak floorboard ceiling. Thanks to the high-quality Gaggenau kitchen, even larger groups can be perfectly catered for here – whether on the ground floor, where banquet seating offers enough space for up to 60 guests, or on the upper floor, which can be used as a cozy living and yoga area thanks to flexible furniture. Beds and rooms: In total, the two houses (which we exclusively rent together) offer 39 beds in 18 bedrooms on a total of about 650 sqm. Most beds can be used as double or single beds, depending on your needs. However, family celebrations and weddings in a small, quiet setting are still welcome! For even larger groups, it is advisable to rent up to 5 more rooms in the Landgasthof Lüders, just a 5-minute walk away. Other attractive accommodations can be found in the historic Glückstadt, just 10 minutes away. Also vegetarian, vegan variant or barbecue in the evening would be possible Unfortunately, in the past we had guest groups who felt that we could celebrate so loudly in our rooms and garden that an unbearable situation for the neighborhood arose. Weddings and meetings with a party character are therefore expressly prohibited by us. And another note: You sleep in a house (at least old ferry house) from the 18th century. It will never be clinically clean and there will be insects in the countryside, like everywhere in nature, that can get lost in the house. Of course, we do our best to make sure you don't notice these things.
