Together with the neighboring modern baker's house, it offers companies, families and friends the ideal retreat on 650 square meters - just 30 minutes from Hamburg's city limits. Accommodates up to 39 people spread over 18 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. 3 more than 70 sqm and 4 slightly smaller common rooms. Other features: - 2 open fireplaces - Large garden with sauna house - Equipment for meetings available Hosting gives us a lot of pleasure and so we have decided to provide our Altes Fährhaus near Glückstadt for family reunions, offsites, yoga retreats or similar occasions in addition to our popular and mostly booked country house Kurzenmoor. We have carefully renovated for months to open the historic building not only for ourselves, but also for our guests. While the loving details have of course been preserved, the house has above all received brighter rooms and 9 new, individual bathrooms. Our offer consists of two houses separated by an approximately 5 m wide courtyard. 1) The old ferry house 2) The Bäckerhaus Altes Fährhaus: The listed Alte Fährhaus from 1630 is characterized by sloping walls, curved, ancient beams and small cozy bedrooms, the parlor with valuable Delft tiles and the historic hall with its listed ceiling. This is also so special because it was built in the 17th century by the neighboring, traditional Wewelsflether shipyard, following the example of the cabins built in the large windjammers at the time. Zum Bäckerhaus: Until 20 years ago, bread was baked here, then the dilapidated building was replaced by a modern community center. With its front facade modeled on the historical facade, the Bäckerhaus fits perfectly into the ensemble of the Wewelsflether Deichreihe. From the garden side, the house is flooded with light through the glass facade and thus forms the ideal setting for a meeting of larger groups with its large, bright rooms. The modern Bäckerhaus offers two light-flooded rooms of over 70 sqm each on two levels in addition to six bedrooms, which radiate a modern, straightforward coziness thanks to the solid oak ceiling. Thanks to the high-quality Gaggenau kitchen, larger groups can also be perfectly catered for here – whether on the ground floor, where banquet seating offers enough space for up to 60 guests, or on the upper floor, which can be used as a cozy living and yoga area thanks to flexible furniture. Beds and rooms: In total, the two houses (which we rent exclusively together) offer a total of approx. 650 sqm 39 beds in 18 bedrooms. Most beds can be used as double or single beds as required. Family celebrations and weddings in a small, quiet setting are still welcome! Other attractive accommodations can be found in the historic Glückstadt just 10 minutes away. It will never be clinically clean and in the countryside, as everywhere in nature, there are insects that can also get into the house.
