Description

Our 10th floor penthouse has an enormous sun deck terrace, with panoramic views to the beach and sea, in a historic and lively touristic part of the city, with music, bars and restaurants. It's a self catering, duplex (on 2 floors), with paid parking in front of the building & well located for visits to other parts of the city. Tell us a little about your group (& bed arrangements, singles or doubles), and confirm you agree to the apartment rules, and will send IDs shortly after the booking. The space Tell us a little about yourself and your group, as we need to communicate a little before confirming your holiday stay! Sleeps up to 9 guests, 6 optimally, in 3 bedrooms. The apartment is laid out on the top two floors of a 10 floor building. There are 2 bedrooms on the tenth floor. The suite has a super king bed, and the second, has options of 2 single beds, or two singles joined together as a double. And the third bedroom on the upper (11th) floor, on the covered part of the roof terrace, as shown in the photos, also has the options of 2 or 3 single beds, or two singles joined together as a double, (optional 3rd bed). Please tell us your group’s bedding requirements, there are other options available. There is sometimes a paid garage, but is often not available, and only by prior arrangement. There is paid parking on the street outside the building, and a paid parking lot nearby. This self-catering penthouse has a stunning terrace with a panoramic view of sea and sky. We're a short taxi (or Uber or bus) ride to some of Salvador's best attractions, like the historic centre of Pelourinho, the Mercado Modelo and Santo Antonio, and the clubs, bars and restaurants of Rio Vermelho (Red River), as well as being two minutes from the Lighthouse and the main beaches of Barra-Ondina. All 3 bedrooms have views of the ocean, and comfortable beds with linen, bath and beach towels, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, and ample wardrobe space. There are 3 bathrooms with hot water showers, and an open shower on the terrace. Everything is within walking distance: various beaches, cafés, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, a delicatessen, shops, banks, gyms, hairdressers, butchers, bakeries, fish mongers, vegan burgers, as well as hamburger joints, ice cream parlours, night clubs, tour operator companies or guides, car hire, pharmacies, medical services, you name it, it's probably here. And restaurant deliveries to the building are available over the internet via services like iFood, Rappi and Uber Eats. The building management has: • Security cameras (in the garage, reception and foyer area on ground floor, and in the elevators, NOT in our rented apartment NOR on its terrace), doormen 24 hr, daily cleaners, daily garbage collection, and two elevators. • A large reception area at the entrance of the building for meeting friends or waiting for taxis. (visitors not allowed up to the apartment) The apartment has: • a large entrance hall with office swivel chair, desk & seating area. • Utility room with washing machine, clothes drying area, sink and cupboard. • Open plan living area, with panoramic sea views. • three sofas and TV with WiFi Internet access. • large oval designer dining table which seats up to 6. Further stool seating at bar and table. • Well equipped kitchen with bar, fridge/freezer, gas oven, 4 burner gas hob, microwave, filtered water cooler, electric coffee maker, cafétiere, juicer, fruit blender, plates, cutlery, cups, mugs, and an assortment of general utensils. No dishwasher. No hot water in the kitchen. • 48" Sony Smart TV, Full HD 1080p, and fibre optic internet access. For services like Netflix and YouTube you need your own account. • Wood table and chairs, and large waterproof cushions, for relaxing on the deck. • For more than 4 guests, there is an additional charge per person, per day. Up to a maximum of 9 guests. • Guests are asked to be responsible with electricity usage and agree to turn off air conditioning, lights and fans when not in use or out of the apartment. Otherwise electricity use may be charged separately on departure. It is considered a violation of apartment rules to leave electrical appliances like AC, fans and lights, on when not in the apartment, or to leave windows or doors open. • We don't usually allow children younger than 8 years of age, unless parents assume full responsibility, and always supervise them on the stairs or terrace. • The building is a no-smoking area, and no pets allowed. • The guest making the booking must inform us (and Airbnb) if they are no longer able to arrive. Only registered guests allowed in the apartment or to sleep over. All guests must be named and photo travel IDs sent at the time of reservation. • No loud noise or unruly behaviour, especially after 10pm. • Paid parking on the street outside the apartment. No parking in the building garage. • We have a garden of plants in the apartment and on the terrace, so need access (at a time convenient to guests) for plant care (about twice weekly). * We reserve the right to enter the apartment at any time should we have reasonable suspicion that there may be damage to our property or appliances, including if windows or doors are left open to the elements when the apartment is unoccupied. • We live very nearby in the same building, and are happy to offer suggestions of places to eat, visit or explore, or tours etc. Whatever your language, we're sure you'll love Bahia. Guest access Guests have access to the whole apartment, except for an outside service room and some service cupboards. The apartment has 24 hour access, with 4 porters, and a security camera monitored entrance, electronic gate, garage (parking not available) and elevators. Always come in and out with respect to our neighbors without making any noise, especially very late or early. There is sometimes a paid garage, but is often not available, and only by prior arrangement. There is paid parking on the street outside the building, and a paid parking lot nearby. Other things to note Please take a few minutes to read our house and apartment rules and comments. Guests love the apartment, as we do, and we look forward to welcoming you. We'll answer any questions you may have on our house rules right after you make contact, and go through them with you when you arrive, and give you a quick guide of the apartment. The apartment is self-catering (no services included), and guests are invited to take care of it as they would their own home. The normal kind of things you'd expect: Leave shoes at the front door; keep the apartment clean and tidy, food and garbage always put away, and trash bins emptied daily to avoid attracting pests and insects like we are in the hot tropics. All guests must be registered at time of booking and provide a copy of the photo ID (passport or carteira de identidade only). Guests must follow condo regulations: no smoking, no pets, no illegal activities, no sub-letting, no parties, no loud music or noise especially between 20:00 and 08:00; cannot have guests , and only guests who are first registered can sleep in the apartment, any damages must be paid in full. Just what you would expect if you were renting your own home.
