Ferrara Chalet farm stay

Agriturismo Ferrara 4 margherite is located in the picturesque Ferrara countryside within a farm of about 100 hectares cultivated with medical grass and arable land. The farmhouse has just been renovated and is an 18-minute drive from the historic centre of Ferrara. Surrounded by nature ideal for work or vacation. Nearby are the characteristic towns of Coronella and Vigarano Mainarda. It can be reached by car or on foot from the local Coronella train station. The space The accommodation is fantastic, if you are looking for silence and tranquility near the city of Ferrara you have found the ideal place. The chalet is housed in a characteristic rustic farmhouse dating back to the late 1800s where you can admire magnificent floors in original terracotta planks and old wooden beams, exposed stone bricks, parquet flooring and some typical tools of rural civilization for a unique atmosphere. The building has been renovated maintaining the original style of the house using natural materials and taking inspiration for the colors from the surrounding countryside and we have combined the most modern technologies with floor heating for winter and adjustable air conditioning in each room for the summer. The atmosphere is familiar and friendly. During the warmer weather there is a beautiful 8,000-square-meter garden that also lends itself to dinners or outdoor parties with friends. On the ground floor there is a very useful kitchen in the warmer period connected with a secondary door directly with the garden and always outside a veranda area provides shelter from the sun during the summer period with table benches and armchairs for 10/12 people made in style with recovery material. On the first floor we then have a large kitchen with peninsula available to guests to prepare for guests and then serve in the adjacent dining room where there is a nice table with 14 seats. Outside the garden there is still the old wood-fired oven that in the past was used to cook bread and an old well to draw water for irrigating the fields and garden. The lawn boundary has been planted with fruit trees (pears, cherries, apples, apricots) that can be harvested in the summer from June onwards. Adjacent to the veranda you will find fragrant medicinal plants including rosemary, sage that can also be used for cheerful summer grills. In the adjacent private countryside you can use private streets for relaxing walks outdoors or mountain biking during which you can see white herons or ashes and other wildlife including hares and pheasants. Also on the farm there is an evocative rubble that was used in the past for the cultivation of hemp and now remains a memory of past agricultural activity. Guest access There is a comfortable private car park on the front of the house and a beautiful garden on the back equipped during the summer with deckchairs, armchairs and umbrellas as well as a barbecue to prepare fantastic barbecues in the evening in company. Other things to note The centre of Ferrara is only 18 minutes away by car, so if you are travelling to visit it, the proposed accommodation is a good alternative to the usual hotels for those who prefer contact with nature or seek a higher level of tranquility or privacy. Obviously we recommend that you reach us by car and coming from Austostrada A13 Bologna Padua the closest exit is Ferrara Sud. If, on the contrary, you travel by train once you arrive at the station, you will have to take a taxi that will accompany you to your destination in 15 minutes. Alternatively for the more adventurous, in the adjacent town of Coronella there is a train station or a bus service that connects the city of Ferrara with the hamlet of Coronella. The area is well served and in a few minutes you can quickly reach supermarkets or small shops for the purchase of food, ATMs, old trattorias or characteristic pizzerias, pastry bars etc. Alternatively in 5 minutes by car you can find the town of Vigarano Mainarda which offers supermarkets and shops for everyday purchases including bakery, butcher shop, groceries in general, supermarket, bar, tobacco shop, pharmacy etc. The village of Vigarano also offers a beautiful library accessible to the public at certain times where you can get information about the country and country life of the last 100 years.
