One guest aptly described it as “Louis L’Amour meets Nicholas Sparks.” This remarkable sanctuary offers privacy and seclusion, nestled in the woods just 60 minutes from the airport and 1 mile from the nearest neighbors. The log home is elegantly furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable getaway. Numerous hiking trails for mountain biking, ATVs, plus Starlink internet. The space DRIVING HERE: The cabin is at approx. 5,000 ft elevation, it would be ideal to drive an AWD vehicle to the property because of the steep mountain roads. It snows from November to March and we may get an occasional snow shower in April or May! Please check with us to ask about the road conditions before you set out. We offer a full refund if weather or fire conditions in the area deteriorate to the point where it would prevent guests from staying. EXPERIENCE: Enjoy your morning coffee or starlit evenings on the east-facing deck, listening to nothing but the wind in the pine trees and the creek. There are trails for hiking, mountain biking or ATVs near the property. The Hot Springs resort in Idaho City is only a 30-minute drive. BREAKFAST: We provide complimentary snacks and tea/coffee. Spices etc for cooking are also available. BED & BATH: The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a medium-firm Sterns & Foster mattress and good-quality down bedding. The master bathroom has a walk-in shower and a claw-foot jetted tub stocked with white towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. LOFT: The large upstairs loft has a dining table, a comfortable leather couch, a recliner, TV/soundbar and a half bath. GREAT ROOM/KITCHEN: The kitchen has everything you need. It’s a dream to cook in this beautiful space surrounded by light from large east-facing windows with a view of the endless sea of pine trees. It has solid granite counters, bar height stools, and comes equipped with all the essentials including stainless steel appliances: gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. Guest access The main cabin, deck, patio, and surrounding area is dedicated entirely to guests. The barn apartment and stables are not accessible to guests. Other things to note We are just 20 minutes from The Springs in Idaho City, which is an amazing natural hot spring facility. They offer private tubs, general admission soaks, and massages and can be reserved online. The Idaho City Grocery has all the essentials, fresh produce and meats, plus beer, wine and liquor, and they are open 7 days a week.
