Fordell loft is a cosy Scottish studio in the kingdom of Fife, surrounded by country veiws and walks. Free private parking beside loft in courtyard . Ten minutes east of Dunfermline , Ten minutes from Aberdour coastal path .Motorway route M90 and A92 close . St Andrews 45 minutes by car .Bus service is 10 minutes walk to crossgates . Park and ride at Halbeath provides excellent links throughout scotland , Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh airport are roughly thirty minutes away by car x The space Fordell loft is a self contained studio in the courtyard of the renovated schoolhouse in the small village of Fordell which dates back to 18 th century once owned by clan Henderson who built fordell castle. The village is on the outskirts of crossgates .The loft is cozy, bright and open plan , with everything you would need for a great stay . I live in the schoolhouse next to the loft so always at hand if needed . Walled garden is available for your own private use when here . Come sample some Great Scottish hospitality x Guest access Guests have free off road parking in the walled courtyard next to the loft , electric gates on property . Bicycle storage available on premises . Guests have private walled garden to sit and enjoy the Sun , most guests need to stay for three night minimum to get benefit of fifes hidden attractions x Other things to note Local shops in crossgates provide excellent provisions . Great bus service in crossgates or halbeath park and ride, park all day for free . Inverkeithing, cowdenbeath, Aberdour, Dalgetybay all have train stations that take you to Edinburgh. Local beaches nearby are Dalgetybay , Aberdour , limekilns , culross , burntisland , dysart , crail all on fife coastal path with lots of history , they all have cafes and restaurants . The ancient city of Dunfermline with its Abbey offers great history and plenty places to eat . Falkland pallace is around thirty minutes drive away used in the Outlander series . St Andrews is just fortyfive minutes drive away . The area is close to many golf courses. We are usually on guests stay list for the North coast 500 , either the beginning or ending as we are thirty minutes away by car to Edinburgh airport x
