The Ponderosa: A Quiet Colorado Mountain Getaway!

A lovely, little getaway! FISHING on the property walking distance from the cabin. Cabin has a king bed in the bedroom, a queen bed pull out couch, (both have memory foam for an amazing night sleep) and an over/under double cot if you need a little extra bed space. TESLA FRIENDLY (prearrange charge time). The ranch backs up to the National Forrest, so you may not see another person for days unless you go into town or sightseeing. This is a perfect getaway for relaxing. 30 min from Canon City The space The place is all yours!! There is a bedroom with a king bed and a pull out queen bed in the living room that overlooks the Pueblo Reservoir 25 miles away!! It’s nice and secluded with hiking on the property or places to enjoy nearby. There are only 2 houses on the property so you won’t have anyone disturbing you. It’s great for getting away from the hustle and bustle to disconnect from the internet and TV (there is no wifi or TV at the house) to enjoy life again and spend quality time with others and nature. Bring some games, hiking shoes and maybe a great book. Guest access The property is on 800 acres that backs up to the national forest. There are 3 hiking loops that are anywhere from 3 to 5.5 miles around the property that is amazing for enjoying the wilderness and nature at its finest. We recommend 4x4 vehicles for the winter months to access the cabin. Snow shoes are a great way to explore the property in the snow! Other things to note Here is additional historical information and photos about the property below. We do not allow smoking of any kind in the property due to fire dangers and allergens/airway irritants for our other guests. We do not allow drug use on the property. Many Colorado visitors already experience changes due to the altitude that we want to limit any exacerbation of symptoms. Lastly, we have a daughter who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 9 months. Though we would love to accommodate anyone with animals (including service) we are unable to do so as this puts her at risk and other family who have significant allergies to any indoor animals.
