The space Spacious rural retreat features soaring 12' high wooden ceilings, slate floors, original artwork and solid wooden furniture designed by the owner. All rooms look out over a sunny redwood glen and patio. At close to 1,000 square feet, there is plenty of room: enjoy your own living room, full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with private entry, patio and parking area. The rental is part of a unique aisle-and-bay architectural structure, sharing a wall with an art studio space that is not used when guests are staying here. WORK FROM HOME: Excellent "Boost" wireless internet, large workspace desk, good cell phone reception and "Smart" TV with Netflix. *STAY HEALTHY: Guests have a private parking area and entry and self-check-in; we are practicing "Social Distancing" & likely won't see you during your stay, except in the meadow by the chickens or in the driveway...We follow a strict disinfecting and cleaning regimen. Enjoy fresh produce, groceries & local wines with the special Curbside Pickup offered by our wonderful Community Market or arrange deliveries here as needed. Wildflour Bakery, just down the hill, is still offering their amazing bread for sale. Sited on over three acres in West Sonoma County, with heirloom apple trees, towering redwoods, and organic gardens, this peaceful, contemporary country retreat is 10 minutes from Pacific Coast Beaches and hiking trails; the renowned wood-fired Wildflour Bakery is just down the hill. Close to the quaint villages of Freestone & Occidental; 12 minutes to Sebastopol. In season, you'll arrive to find fresh eggs from our chickens; enjoy tastings of fruits and herbs from our organic gardens in season.... Cook to your heart's content in the full kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven and microwave. Kitchen is equipped with with everything you'll need to get started, including pots, pans, spices, olive oil and vinegar, etc. plus organic coffee, creamer, a french press and drip coffee maker as well as an assortment of teas. Watch the hawks circle overhead; at night you may hear owls who make their home in the 60 acre forest adjacent to our land; stars twinkle in a truly dark sky. In the summer, the private sunny patio overlooking redwoods offers a perfect place for outdoor dining. In the winter, enjoy a fire in the wood stove. (Central heating as well.) Ours is a rural, rustic property. With a working orchard and thriving redwoods, you will have an authentic country escape; our grounds are not manicured. **Sonoma County Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate #: 2412N (Note: No amplified sound outdoors please; parking for two vehicles with more parking available if needed. Quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Please be sure to book for the correct # of guests who will be staying when you book; rates vary by # of guests. Also, please let us know if you are traveling with a pet - we love dogs! Dog fees do apply and can vary by breed; dog fees are be paid in cash upon arrival. (Per current Sonoma County Regulations, only stays of 30+ days are available at this time.)
