Built in 2018, TinyLu - our cozy 2BR/2BA - is smack in the center of everything from dwtn ATL to Decatur & very near The Eastern. TinyLu is ALSO peaceful & chill! Private and tucked back in our yard, the cottage has a full kitchen & provides a relaxing stay. Perfect for visiting family/friends close by or just enjoying ATL! ** This is an inclusive guesthouse in a progressive neighborhood ** Flexible check-in/out times when possible ** Inquire about longer term stays! The space Only a few years old, TinyLu cottage is a custom built Accessory Dwelling Unit (an ADU - one of the first in our neighborhood, maybe Atlanta!) and it sits in the back of our huge lot. It's a gorgeous one story with vaulted ceilings, stained hardwood floors, tile in kitchen and bath, stainless steel appliances in a full kitchen with granite countertops, and a Smart TV, which has several streaming services provided. New, improved HVAC for better heating and cooling - Summer 2024! TinyLu is also hardwired with its own network for super-fast, seamless WiFi. Cooking simple meals is easy in the full kitchen with a microwave and oven. For in-house coffee, we offer a French press & an electric Mr. Coffee drip coffeemaker, including excellent coffee and non-dairy creamer...though you may choose to walk to close by Con Leche, Parkgrounds or Muchacho so someone else can make your coffee! Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The main bedroom, which can be securely locked and separated from the main living space and second bedroom, has a ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. The bathroom in the hallway has a combined tub and shower. There is a lovely leather couch in the shared living space that is sufficient for one small person to sleep on (set of twin sheets are provided); it is NOT a sofa bed. The cottage is most comfortable for 4 adults but a smaller 5th person could sleep on the couch. There is also a European style combo washer/dryer in the kitchen with laundry detergent provided. We also have a drying rack :) Guest access TinyLu is accesible via the path to the left of our house. You'll enter through the front yard of our home and take the flat slate path on the left to walk through a gate into the fenced in backyard to the cottage. Come and go as you like, and please review the Visitor Policy in the House Rules. Any gatherings at this property are limited to the number of occupants listed on the reservation. (Absolutely no parties, events or animals are permitted - no exceptions.) You may meet our cat Olive or dog Pickle in the backyard, and Pickle is never outside without our supervision. Other things to note We live in the 1920s bungalow on the front of the oversized lot. Sometimes our kitty Olive (age 15!) & doggy Pickle (age 7) go into the shared yard. Pickle is super friendly, rambunctious, and always supervised by us; Olive goes in the yard on her own and has become a little yard ambassador, being friendly and curious with our guests … she’s a cat’s cat so proceed with caution if you decide pet her and she deigns to let you. She prefers pets on her head and loves to rub on your legs! You can see pix of both our furkids in our photos 😁*For the safety of guests and hosts alike, other animals are not permitted due to our pets living here on the property.* Please note that since we are located in the DEEP south, from time to time you may see a bug or two in the cottage, especially with warming temperatures. This is normal, to be expected and cannot be avoided. What helps: Doors should remain closed (i.e. when loading/unloading the car, taking out the trash or hanging out on the porch). Bugs can get inside easily, especially in warmer weather. The cottage is treated inside & out by a pest control company for your comfort and safety. We stay on top of this costly pest control so please help us keep it effective - thank you! For the safety of guests and host alike, we require an accepted government ID to be verified on your Airbnb account to confirm your booking. Here are the instructions if you need them: Go to your Profile, click Trust and Verification; click Add More Verifications. For long term stays, we reserve the right to ask you for 2 references and add periodic cleanings for an additional fee. Professional cleaners are used for housekeeping, and they are paid a living wage. Hosts & cleaners are vaccinated & boosted! Cleanliness and sanitization are of utmost importance to us, both for the safety of guests and hosts alike. All surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant. Cleaning supplies are in the cottage for guest use while they are staying with us. (Please do not remove.)
