私達は外国人ゲストとの交流を望みます。 We love connecting with guests from all over the world! Staying with us means more than just having a place to sleep — you’ll get a chance to experience the real daily life of a Japanese family, surrounded by nature, organic living, and warm hospitality. We live in a traditional Japanese house with a large garden. Our family includes grandparents, my husband, myself, and our two young kids. We warmly welcome you to become a part of our home during your stay. The space 🎬 Our Home Was a Movie Location! In November 2024, our home was chosen as a filming location for a major Japanese movie produced by Shochiku, starring the famous actor 阿部寛. For five days, more than 60 crew members filled our house with lights, cameras, and action! The film will be released in September 2025—so stay tuned and experience the place where movie magic happened! 👘 Private Guest Room ・Spacious tatami room with a garden view ・Wi-Fi, futon, towels, and blankets included ・Bathroom is shared ・Children under 6 years old stay for free ・No breakfast provided (due to local license regulations) ・Curfew: Please return home by 10:00 PM as this is a family house ・Top floor is for family use only 🍳 Kitchen Use ・The kitchen is shared, so let us know when you’d like to use it. ・Feel free to use the toaster, microwave, fridge, etc. ・Please be sure to wash any dishes or utensils after use. 🌀 Laundry ・You can use the washing machine for free. ・If you prefer to use the dryer, we ask for an additional ¥1,000 as it takes a long time to run. ・Sun-drying is available with plenty of natural sunlight—free and eco-friendly! 🌾 Organic Life & Local Farming ・Our organic rice fields and vegetable gardens are just a 2-3 minute walk away. ・We grow rice, vegetables, and seasonal fruits with as little chemical use as possible. ・If you’d like to visit the farms or help with harvesting, just let us know! Guest access THE HOST LIVES ON SITE The top floor is strictly for the family. 🎨 Things to Enjoy During Your Stay ・Grandma is a watercolor artist, and her beautiful artwork is displayed all around the house. ・There’s a piano in the living room—feel free to play if you’d like♪ ・Ethnic music session? Yes please!  We can bring out the didgeridoo, ukulele, guitar, or djembe if you’re interested. Let’s connect through music! 🎶 ・Try on a Yukata!  Want to experience wearing a casual Japanese kimono called Yukata?  Just let us know—we’ll help you put it on and even take some nice pictures if you’d like 👘📸 We offer free professional photos of you in yukata (Japanese traditional wear) around the house. If you’d like a cinematic video memory, we can create one for an additional fee based on theme and location. Just let us know! During your stay 🚲 Let’s Explore Together We’re usually at home and happy to chat, go cycling together, or take a walk around the neighborhood. We love sharing stories, culture, and everyday joys with our guests. We offer free professional photos of you in yukata (Japanese traditional wear) around the house. If you’d like a cinematic video memory, we can create one for an additional fee based on theme and location. Just let us know! Other things to note 🚉 Access & Pickup We offer pick-up and drop-off service at Sekishi Station. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to arrange this. 📸 Before You Arrive According to Japanese law, we are required to make a copy of your passport upon check-in. Thank you for your understanding. 🧦 Tatami Room Rule Please do not wear slippers or room shoes in the tatami room. 📝 When Sending Your Booking Request Please share a little about yourself and your travel companions, including where you’re coming from. This helps us feel more connected and comfortable before we welcome you. ⚠️ Notice & Understanding Please note that the guest room (tatami room) does not have a lock. This is a home-stay style accommodation where our family also lives in the same house. Occasionally, the host may need to enter the room (for example, to turn off the air conditioner if it’s left on while you’re out). We always respect your privacy and will only enter when absolutely necessary.
