Tucked away in the beautiful South Devon countryside, this charming holiday cottage is a warm and welcoming base for exploring the coast, countryside, and nearby villages and towns including Modbury, Kingsbridge, Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Salcombe and Dartmouth — ideal for families or couples looking to unwind and make memories together. @ LittleBankBarn The space We carefully and sympathetically converted this 200 year old traditional Devon bank barn in 2020. It is now a tranquil, cosy bolthole for a couple or small family kitted out with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable holiday. Inside, the cottage features stylish, very comfortable interiors designed for relaxation. Sink into a restful night’s sleep with Egyptian cotton sheets and enjoy the little luxuries that make a stay special, from white fluffy towels to thoughtful finishing touches throughout. The double bedroom offers a peaceful retreat for parents, while the bunk room is perfect for children after busy beach days. On cooler days, light the log burner, curl up with a book or film, and enjoy the cosy atmosphere — this is a cottage made for all seasons. Outside, children can make the most of the fantastic outdoor play area, and beach days are made easy with buckets and spades provided. Inside, you’ll also find a lovely selection of toys and books, so little ones are entertained whatever the weather. Perfectly placed for golden beaches, scenic South west coast path walks, Dartmoor National Park and traditional Devon pubs, this is the kind of cottage perfect for a relaxing holiday — comfortable, family-friendly, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxed South Devon escape. You enter Little Bank Barn via slate steps, to one side is a field often filled with the inquisitive neighbouring dairy cattle, these steps take you into the upstairs open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room with lovely views in all directions. There is a wood burner and comfy sofa for cold evenings and a compact but well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast as well as a Nespresso machine and a full size dishwasher. Downstairs there is a very comfortable master bedroom with king size bed and memory foam mattress. Across the hallway is the bunkroom designed for two children (there is room for a travel cot for an extra little one if required). Plus a good size bathroom with shower. The cottage comes fully equipped with all bedding and towels (we do not supply beach towels). We provide some delicious local welcome items for you in the cottage including milk, eggs, coffee and homemade sourdough bread and marmalade. There is a small planted garden and private patio area with teak garden furniture and bbq for guests use. We also have a trampoline, swing set and playhouse with slide for your children’s enjoyment in a seperate area of our garden which guests can use anytime. We have a travel cot, high chair, baby bath, stairgate, microwave and fireguard should you need them and can provide some children’s toys / books if you wish. Little Bank Barn is situated next door to our home (another Devon bank barn), where we live with our two children. The cottage is entirely separate with its own designated parking space for one car. We have an 7kw EV charger which guests can use (at a small charge) please let us know prior to your arrival if you would like to use the charger during your stay. Check in time is from 4pm Check out is 10am Unfortunately we do not accept any pets, and the property is non-smoking, including no e-cigarettes We would love to welcome you to LBB, please feel free to message me with any questions you may have. Guest access The whole of Little Bank Barn and its outdoor seating areas / garden is solely for guests use. The play area (which is in another separate area of our garden) is shared occasionally with our own young children.
