The space The residence is covered with local volcanic stone and has a fascinating history. At the turn of the century, this house operated as a “canava”, a traditional winery and cellar, producing the Santorini signature dessert wine Vinsanto. Vinsanto is known all around the world and for centuries was among the island’s most lucrative business. At the Stone House you can still see the sunken cylindrical troughs used for Vinsanto’s distilling, now used as beautiful lighting features. Although the house has been renovated, all the elements that tell the story of Santorini’s centuries of housebuilding tradition have been left untouched. The relics of this historic building have been combined with creative design and comfort, creating a perfect accommodation experience that could please even the most demanding guest.
