Evergreen Escape | Two (2) Private Rooms

Welcome to Evergreen Escape! Guests have described this 100+ yr old colonial home and its private, wooded yard with a koi pond as a quiet, peaceful, garden oasis. You will have Two (2) Private Rooms! A Bedroom and a Sitting Room. Easy access to Turnpike, SEPTA regional rail & buses, shopping and dining. Perfect locale for vacationer, student, business traveler - anyone looking to stay outside of, but near, Philadelphia. The space Evergreen Escape is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Bird Sanctuary and Firefly Habitat with native plants, trees and shrubs. You'll have plenty of personal space because you'll have 2 private rooms: a bedroom and a sitting room. Each room has separate climate controls for heat and air conditioning for your own personal comfort level. You'll also have your own refrigerator and a microwave. If you need to get some work done, feel free to hook up your laptop and power cord to the docking station or the extra monitor. Did you forget to pack something? Full and travel sized toiletries are stocked in your bedroom. Although the Bathroom (with a heated tile floor) is shared with me, I have a powder room that I use as my primary bathroom during your stay. I only use the main for showering, which I try to do when you are out and about so there's no disruption to your schedule. You'll feel safe and secure with off-street parking and your own access code for the front door that is set for the duration of your stay. Enjoy the outside with a swim in the pool or a game of horse shoes. Relax on the back deck, next to the koi pond, in the gazebo, or by the firepit. Watch your own personal light show in the summer as fireflies dance through the mature evergreens in the early evening. The property is a traversed by birds, deer, foxes, racoons, opossums, squirrels, hawks, and other native species. They are welcome visitors that typically keep to themselves. This is the Only Listing for this house - there will be No Other Guests in the home. The first floor dining room, living room and powder room are my primary living space, so they are not included in this listing. Come see why this is my stay-cation home! Guest access You will have your own entry code for the front door for the duration of your stay, so your schedule is your own. The main kitchen is available for stove top cooking. Dishes (not pots and pans) can be put into the dishwasher and I'll take care of putting them away for you. Enjoy a meal at the breakfast bar with full view of the back yard (referred to as dining table under amenities). Filtered water is available from the dispenser on the refrigerator and there is a freshly filled bottle in the refrigerator in your private sitting room. The laundry is in the basement if you need it during your stay. Please note that I Do Not allow pets. Miss Opal, my skittish brown tabby, has full range of the house, but you probably will not see her during your stay. My home is not child or handicap safe, for this reason I only host adults who are capable of climbing stairs and getting in and out of a tub-shower combo. During your stay Although I work typical business hours and keep a social calendar, I'm always available through the Airbnb app, so please let me know if there is anything you need. I'll personally greet you when you arrive to show you around the house and answer any questions. When I'm home, I'm typically relaxing in my living room or by the koi pond. Other things to note Township regulations restrict me to a maximum of 2 guests. However, I can only accommodate 1 (one) guest for stays more than 9 nights. On Saturdays and Sundays I extend the check-in time to 4:00 PM and the check-out time to 10:00 AM. I'm sure we all understand being safe, so, please send a recent photo so I can identify you when you arrive. Also, everyone on your reservation must have an Identity Verified profile with Airbnb. I tend to error on the side of more information, so I've compiled a detailed house manual to help orient you to the property. Please note, the pool and yard amenities are not available the from the Wednesday prior to until the Wednesday after Memorial Day due to Host's annual BBQ party. Guests are prohibited from receiving mail or packages. Guests staying longer than 29 days may be asked to sign a guest agreement.
