Guesthouse in Charlestown

Small vintage vacation cabin located in Charlestown, RI a 1 mile walk/bike to the town beach. Located on 7 acres called Rockbriar Farm, the cabin is in a wooded setting away from our home affording privacy for guests. One large room includes the futon bed/couch and the one sink; the shower and toilet are in separate room. Cabin also has a cedar enclosed hot water outdoor shower. Clean, cozy but not luxurious! No stove, but coffee maker, microwave, outside grill, and mini fridge. The space The little cabin is located on our property which is on 7 acres in the woods in Charlestown Rhode Island about a mile from the beach on the south side of the highway. Our returning guests will note that the cabin was recently renovated but still retains original character and footprint. The beach is a short 1 mile bike ride or walk away and we provide two bikes for guests use as well as two beach chairs. There is parking available at the town beach for a fee. Although our home is on the same property, the cabin is located far enough away to offer privacy in a wooded setting. Also located on the property is a private yoga studio (guests are welcome to sign up for classes). Students, and the owner, do enter the studio in the early morning and evenings but every effort is made to be quiet and not disturb the guests. Schedule is available on the website. There is a lovely cedar enclosed outside shower for guests (as well as the one inside the cabin). Our grounds are well landscaped with beautiful flower beds and a hammock which our guests are welcome to use. The cabin does have a coffeemaker, microwave , outdoor grill and a small fridge; we provide coffee and tea . We also provide beach towels and beach chairs. All bed linens and towels are included and refreshed upon request or after 3 days stay. The cabin was recently updated and re-insulated; heated making fall, winter and spring stays very cozy. All linens provided. We have a dog and 2 cats that live on the property who do not ever enter the cabin (making it suitable for allergic guests to visit). The two cats do wander freely outdoors and the dog is in a kennel near to the cabin during the day. He is never in the kennel before 8 AM. He does bark occasionally (at the UPS guy and squirrels). We have workers on the property including lawn and pest care, gardeners and other helpers. They do come onto the property with mowers and sprayers and we cannot control their schedule. They may start work in the mornings (after 7:30 AM) and may work around the cabin. We all do our utmost to maintain privacy and quiet for our guests. Other things to note While the cabin is great for spring and summer, the recent renovations and new insulation and heat upgrade make it comfy for fall and winter stays!
