Charming and secluded Tiny House in the Forest
This delightful, secluded 192 sq ft. Tiny House is located on the back of a 1 1/2 acre property. It has a well stocked kitchen (with many retro and vintage items) a 3/4 bath, sunny living area with skylights, and stairs leading to the loft with a comfortable double bed. Enjoy total privacy and old fashion charm in a rustic forest setting. There's a gas BBQ on the covered deck, a fire ring in the garden, and outdoor seating for relaxing, eating or bird watching, surrounded by towering trees. There is a rather steep stairway to the loft, where you'll find a double mattress with silky white sheets and warm fluffy comforters as well as a small dresser and reading lamp. The bathroom has a shower, composting toilet, and pedestal sink. Thick white Turkish towels, shampoo, soaps and hair dryer are provided. In the kitchen you'll find an apt. size stove and oven, full size fridge, coffee maker (plus grinder), toaster/oven and microwave, and a deep double sink. There is a small table with two chairs, suitable for laptop or dining, plus cable t.v. and wi-fi. We are situated on a private lane so please respect our wonderful neighbors by coming and going at 15mph and not venturing onto neighbors driveways or property. Guests will be greeted at the gate and shown around the cottage and yard, to make sure you're comfortable and familiar with using the accommodations . After your tour, you will have total privacy, however I'm always available if you have questions.... or if you'd like to meet the resident Nubians, Jenny and Wendy, or Abigail the Pilgrim goose and Ezra the Aussie! We are conveniently located just a few minutes south of the Hood Canal Bridge, gateway to the Olympic Peninsula, and the picturesque town of Port Gamble where you can eat, shop, or wander the trails through the forest. Poulsbo Village, or Little Norway, with it's quaint shops and excellent restaurants is only 12 minutes south. Beautiful Bainbridge Island, where you can catch the Seattle Ferry, or wander around Winslow and enjoy the museum and shops, is about 25 minutes to the east. Cars are needed to get around, although Kitsap Memorial Park is a gentle walk down the road where you can enjoy walking along the rocky Hood Canal beach or relaxing in the park. Since we have livestock on the property, we ask that the gates are always kept closed to keep everyone safe and happy!! It should be noted that neighbors sometimes see coyotes wandering across their unfenced properties.
