Built in 1922, this charmingly restored garage apartment, up in the trees, is full of natural light and original art. (Blackout curtains in bedroom.) Full kitchen: range & oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer. Living room with TV with Roku, Showtime, premium channels Dining room/office Bathroom with shower or tub (shampoo etc; high quality linens provided). WIFI (strong signal) 3 blocks from 19th Street (Heights shopping and great dining). Off street, onsite covered parking. The space The owners are restoration and design experts who have had 3 homes selected for historic home tours. You have the unique opportunity to stay in a home that has been restored (keeping the character that makes this 1922 bungalow unique and special), yet made comfortable and well suited to modern life. The home has a full kitchen and only highest quality linens are stocked throughout the house. This apartment has a similar 1922 home on the property that can sleep 2 in a king bed, so if you have more in your group, book both properties. Look for "Heights Bungalow with Designer Style". Guest access Guests have full access of the house: living room, kitchen, office/dining room, bathroom and of course, the bedroom. This home is not lived in by the owners (or anyone). Other things to note If you stay longer than 2 weeks, we require that you have the maid in to clean and wash and change bedding at least every 2 weeks at a cost of $60 to you for each cleaning. (You may have her come more often but the requirement is every 2 weeks.) This is a NON-SMOKING/NO TOBACCO PROPERTY!!! No smoking (or any form of tobacco) is allowed anywhere on the property!! Please do not ask if we can make an exception in our no pet policy for your pet. We love animals but this is an allergy-free home (to the extent that we can create it). Pets of any kind are not allowed. This home is for overnight stays of TWO guests at maximum!! Do not bring bedding for any additional person(s) to stay overnight in the house. We do not allow any couch surfing or 'camping' out on the floors of this home! This is a walk-able, historic neighborhood with shopping, tree lined walks and excellent culinary experiences close by. To access the off-street covered parking, drive up the drive (on the left as you face the house in front) straight into your covered parking place. The stairs to the house are in front to the left.
