Situated in peaceful Tanjil Bren, just a 20 minute drive from Mt Baw Baw, this homely house is the perfect place to escape the daily grind and a great base to explore the region. Guest access As our guests you will have sole access to the entire house, including the kitchen, and living area with a cosy wood fire and TV. A large bathroom comprising of 2 toilets and 2 showers so large groups do not need to wait long. You can also unwind with a game of table soccer or darts. Other things to note IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU BOOK: Tanjil Bren does not have electricity so the house runs on solar power and gas. There are two 12v sockets in the house to charge your devices if you have an appropriate charger (any cigarette lighter car charger will do). Due to the lack of electricity it is not possible to provide bedding so you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and doona covers. Doonas and Pillows are provided you will just need to bring the covers. This also means there is no WiFi in the house, mobile reception works with Telstra, for other carriers you will need to walk about 50 metres to a cleared communal area where they can work. There is also no petrol on the mountain, please ensure you have enough to get back down as far as Neerim Junction (approx. 30km or 40 minutes). The bathroom is inside the house however the wood heater does not warm that section so it can be very cold during the winter months.
