There are plenty of historical places of interest, including National Trust properties, castles, Dore Abbey and Hereford Cathedral with its Mappa Mundi Centre and Chained Library. The ever popular Hay-on-Wye is approximately 10 miles and famous for its literary festivals which attract visitors worldwide, it also has many independent shops such as crafts and galleries. Hereford is only 12 miles and Abergavenny, 20 miles, host many food festivals and markets. There are local pubs in the village that also serve food.
