Cottage in Alton

We have found NO better place to get away from it all than our Rattlesnake Retreat. This Lindal Cedar Home sits steps away from the waters edge on the "sunny side" of Rattlesnake. Enjoy endless changing views form the wrap around deck or jump in the water from the dock. There is NOTHING more relaxing than a week at the lake. Our house has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a gracious living, dining and kitchen space. Unique to island living this house also boasts a full walkout basement. The space This is an ISLAND house...which means...you need a boat! The house sits steps from the water with a full backyard for relaxing or yard games! You can have easy access to the mainland, boat launch and trailer and car parking through West Alton Marina for a nominal fee. At the house you can fit 2 boats on the dock. We have a whole arsenal of water toys for use if care is taken to keep them (and you) safe. Guest access You will have access to our lake toys, paddle boards, kayaks, tubes, etc. We just ask that you store them properly when not in use because when lake winds pick up...toys get lost! The yard is large and pretty flat, allowing fun by the fire pit, BBQ's and yard games. The boat under the boat house is not for guest use and can not be taken off the chain. You may use our dock out front to park and store your boat. Other things to note If your boat isn't already in the water on the lake you will need to find a place to launch it and leave your trailer for your stay.
