Description
The Bothy is a recently refurbished traditional farm cottage that sits within the grounds of our family home. It is completely self-contained in the centre of Drem, a hamlet in the heart of East Lothian. Only minutes from seaside towns and the Golf Coast, and also the Lammermuir Hills to the south, the area enjoys some of the best cycle routes in East Lothian too. Retaining some of its original features, The Bothy is a quiet countryside retreat, ideal for couples, families and golfers alike. The space The Bothy has its own private entrance leading into an open plan living room with kitchenette and a log burner stove. There is a wall-mounted smart TV with Netflix, YouTube and BBC iPlayer. Should you wish to cook, the kitchen is equipped with a mini oven, 2 induction hobs, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. Tea and coffee plus basic condiments are all provided. Guests have access to an iron and hair dryer. The spacious bathroom is fully modernised but also maintains some of its rustic charm. It is located downstairs and contains a large walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Downstairs there is also a large wardrobe with a hanging rail and room to store cases. The upper floor has 2 carpeted, loft-style bedrooms with coombed ceilings that are cozy and bright. Bedroom 1 has a king-sized platform bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Both have underbed storage and other drawers/storage compartments and high quality Egyptian cotton bedding. The carpets & bedding are hypoallergenic. Guest access Guests enjoy private entrance and full access to the Bothy. Other things to note Dogs are permitted by prior agreement only. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs at £10 per pet per stay.
