Smallcote - all year round bolthole in Somerset.

A little Somerset bolthole in the heart of the medieval town of Ilminster, half an hour from the coast, minutes away from the beautiful Blackdown Hills and surrounded by gorgeous countryside. A great little base from which to explore Somerset’s hidden gems. Smallcote is a completely separate dwelling in the garden of Olcote House. The space Smallcote sleeps two so it’s perfect for a couple. However, there is a comfy Loaf Sofa bed in the sitting room, so you can squeeze in two more- perfect for kids rather than anyone needing total privacy. Please note it’s a fully open plan dwelling with a spiral staircase to the bedroom mezzanine without a door. We would be happy to welcome your little ones and can provide a high chair, travel cot and some toys should you need them. However, the spiral staircase does not have a stair-gate so toddlers and small children would need to be supervised at all times. There is underfloor heating downstairs and lots of character. Guest access Smallcote is a separate dwelling just for you with it’s own small garden for a morning coffee or a glass of wine. Other things to note Please note there is a spiral staircase which may be difficult to access if you have limited mobility. For guests with children, please note there are no stair-gates available, so little ones must be supervised at all times. Please note, although we welcome one well behaved dog, we charge a fee of £20.
