Welcome to Casa da Aldeia. Casa da Aldeia is a charming, spacious country house near Ericeira, a quaint beach town with great surf. You will find the peace and serenity of the Portuguese countryside while being close to Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon. The space Casa da Aldeia is a charming country house that has belonged to our family for over 100 years. It's very spacious and it was recently completely renovated. There is a spacious front yard, where you can park your car(s), with gorgeous flower beds. The backyard has a beautiful vegetable garden / orchard filled with all kinds of fruits and vegetables from all over the world. The building is divided into two apartments. You will be staying on the top apartment. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and one large living room with an additional bed. Guest access You can access the entire property, except the bottom apartment. Other things to note If you stay at our home you will be in a great position to visit the rest of the country. Here are a few places you can visit: - Ericeira. Gorgeous seaside town with great surf and tons of delicious seafood. Few minutes by car. - Mafra National Palace - A monumental 18th century palace / monastery. It is a delight to explore. It was the main topic of Baltasar and Blimunda, a novel by the Nobel Prize-winning Portuguese author José Saramago. About 10 minutes by car. - Sintra. An absolutely gourgeous town in the middle of the mountains, filled with castles and palaces. UNESCO World Heritage Site. 30 minutes by car. - Lisbon. So many things to see in Lisbon. You absolutely must visit it during your stay in Portugal. 35 minutes by car - Cascais and Estoril. The Portuguese riviera, where European royal families stayed during WW2. Fantastic beaches and a world class Casino (inspired James Bond - Casino Royale). 35 minutes by car - Porto. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, Porto, the second largest city in the country, is a perfect destination for a day trip. About 2:30h by car.
