The Hayloft at Runwayskiln, perfect for Skomer

Our small, hostel-style accommodation provides the perfect base for a coastal adventure! Line-dried linen, clean + neat facilities and a spectacular location makes an unfussy HQ for people and families who are looking to catch their breath in nature. The Hayloft is part of Runwayskiln; it is two fields' away from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, within sight and sound of iconic Marloes Sands and perched above gorgeous Marloes Mere. It is a place for beach-goers, boaters and birders. The space Expect simplicity. This building was previously renovated by the YHA to create a warden's flat and it had a loyal following of annual visitors until the YHA left Runwayskiln in 2015. Think of it as 'posh camping' or a hotel room with a meal preparation space rather than a fully-equipped holiday home. The Hayloft is a specious studio with one king-size bed, a narrow single bed and the option for a floor mattress or travel cot. The facilities are clean and neat and the water is hot and plentiful! A small 'kitchenette' comprises a sink, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge (no freezer section) and a single electric induction hob with frying pan and saucepan. There is a two-seater sofa and a dining table that is suitable for four people. When you step outside the door, you have panoramic views of the sea and countryside. Guest access You will have sole use of your accommodation. Other things to note COASTAL KITCHEN/ TAKE-AWAY KIOSK Runwayskiln's top-rated coastal kitchen is a short walk from your front door, perfect for grabbing some breakfast or enjoying a leisurely lunch; take a look at Runwayskiln's website for info on coastal kitchen operations at the time of your stay. A take-away kiosk operates in summer and autumn months; more details of this can be found online too. BOOKING POLICY - CHECK-IN DAYS + ONE-NIGHT STAYS Our check-in days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday - this is so that we have a predictable pattern for our cleaning team. Occasionally, other check-in dates will become available as a result of other bookings. For example, if another guest has booked to arrive on Monday and stay for 3 nights (leaving on Thurs morning), you may wish to arrive on that Thursday. Our automated settings on AirBnB will not allow you to make this booking without getting in touch with us first - please do not hesitate to do this! Similarly, you will see occasional one-night availability as a result of other guest bookings.
