Dippy Inn

Dippy Inn is an early 1900's cottage with western views of Penobscot Bay and Islesboro. Dippy is located in the village of Harborside in the town of Brooksville, Maine. Dippy offers all the summertime benefits of rural coastal Maine where the passing of a single car is a grand “event.” This vintage retreat is within easy walking distance to the waterfront as well as the state owned Holbrook Island Sanctuary known for its fine hiking trails, kayaking, and double beach. The space This cottage home in Harborside, Maine, includes a west facing deck accessed through a sliding door from the kitchen/dining area with views of Islesboro and Penobscot Bay. The east facing front porch has an assortment of lounge chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner electric stove with oven/broiler, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and dishwasher. There is great drinking water from the tap. The large dining table can be expanded to seat ten. The living room downstairs has a flatscreen TV with an HDMI cord for the DVD player and two networks (CBS & PBS) available as well as a sofa, several chairs, and a fireplace insert. The sitting/game room upstairs has an ocean view. There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet, vanity sink, and shower. There is a washer and dryer in the downstairs bathroom. There are five bedrooms, one downstairs and four upstairs with three full beds and two queens. Bedding, blankets, towels, and pillows included. Verizon cell phone service is good but the coverage of other carriers is spotty. The closest reliable internet and phone service is the town hall/library/volunteer fire department about four miles away. Other things to note While we love pets many of our guests can't enjoy them therefore we ask that you leave your pet at home before your stay at Dippy.
