Homely room in sight of the sea

Our house is a few minutes walk or drive from the beach at Old Colwyn. Also ideally situated 3 minutes drive off the A55 ( but no noise from it!). We live in the upper maisonette which means your room on the top floor has a sea view. There are so many things to do in this beautiful area of North Wales, from waterfalls in the rain, Bodnant gardens, RSPB reserve, sunning on the beach, to watching the sun go down over the Little Orme. The castles of Conwy, Bodelwyddan and Caernarfon close by car. The space The bedroom is a comfortable double, with plenty of storage in wardrobe and chest, desk/dressing table and individual bedside cabinets. There is a kettle and small fridge just outside your door, and your room has coffee and tea making facilities. Next door is the bathroom, for your own use, or if there are other guests you will be made aware before booking. Luxuriate in a sudsy bath with a glass of something sparkly, or jump in the shower for a quick refresh! Towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion all provided. Anything you lack just ask as we will probably have it. Guest access You are welcome to use our garden and patio, which lie just beyond the neighbours' garden. You can heat microwave meals in the kitchenette, or bake potatoes, pizzas etc, and a shelf in the fridge, kettle and toaster are also available for your use, with some crockery and cutlery. Breakfast can be eaten in the main kitchen, also evening meal, but check times for the latter each day please. We ask that you don't use the bedroom for eating meals in. We are Jewish, so do not have shellfish (prawns, shrimps, crab etc) or pork products in the house. If you are staying 5 days or longer and need to do washing, that can be agreed for a suitable time and there is line drying in summer. We have a second single bedroom, snoozed at present, but available if you are travelling with another person and would like a second room. Please ask and I can unsnooze so you can see it. They would share your bathroom. During your stay We are home based, so are available for questions and chat. We are slowly extending our knowledge of the local facilities and beauty spots, so do ask. Other things to note Our insurance does not permit smokers, electronic or otherwise. Fire safety is in a green file - please read it for your own safety. I am a classical pianist with the piano on the floor below. There may occasionally be sounds wafting up to your room, never later than 10pm. Let me know if you're having an early night! We now have a young friendly Labrador cross dog called Benjy. He is short haired and not allowed upstairs, but if you are allergic or don't like dogs our place may not suit you. He lives mostly in the kitchen.
