Sekuchi Terrace
Description
Teratak Sekuchi is a semi-traditional timber house by the South China Sea. Originally built in KT town, it was relocated in 2007 to Mengabang Telipot, a typical fishing village. Furnished mainly with old wooden furniture and local decorations, it offers a taste of coastal village living with basic modern comforts. There’s no wifi, TV or air-cond. Strictly for private (non commercial) use only by max 6 (+2 y.o) people. The space Our place is inspired by the Terengganu fishing village elements, as well as the unique Terengganu craft essentials such as woodcarving and batik. Please note that this place is for private use only. No filming, wedding photography, gathering etc is allowed without prior consent of the owner. It can only accommodate a maximum of 6 people (2 year old and above) only although there is no restriction for children below 2 year old. We are very strict on this rule and will expect our guests to comply. It is a cosy beach abode that will be perfect for short or long stays. The main bedroom can accommodate max 3 people (1 double bed and 1 single bed) while the second sleeping area can accommodate up to 2+1 people (1 double bed + 1 mattress). Kindly note that there is no TV, airconditioning or internet connection. Guest access You get the entire house. Other things to note There is a nice beach in front of the house. But do dress decently when swimming (a t-shirt on top of swimming wear and shorts for ladies) as it is located in a traditional fishing village. A large selection of local breakfast can be found just at the main road (about 30m away). We can also arrange catering for kampung style lunch/dinner upon request. We would be happy to provide suggestions for activities such as island hopping to the Marine Parks (Redang, Kapas or Perhentian) off our coast, local craft and wetland visits, car rental, drive to the countryside, squid-jigging, local cuisine demonstrations, visit to local markets etc.
