Welcome to a retreat in historic old town Lafayette. This newly remodeled home has been tastefully appointed to feel comfortable, practical, and elegant. You'll find a combination of antiques and designer furnishings, two wood burning fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchen, a soaking tub, and a backyard garden complete with winding paths and outdoor seating. This is a great home to visit for a vacation, to host a family dinner, or to get some work done. The space Light pours in through the floor to ceiling front windows and an open floor plan means you can bake cookies while watching the birds, or cozy up beside the wood burning stove and try your hand at a jigsaw puzzle. There are reading nooks in every room. The window above the soaking tub allows you to listen to the birds while you rejuvenate. The king sized bed sits beside the home's second fireplace and a glass door opens to the back garden. Guest access Feel free to use the driveway to park. You’re also welcome to park on the street in front of the house. There is ample parking in the neighborhood streets. Other things to note This home is an oasis. It’s my personal home, but it’s also been a resting place to many people over the years. I’m really happy you chose it for your trip to Lafayette. Fun fact, the man who sold us this home built it with his father by hand. They were a family of masons and also helped to build CU Boulder’s campus. If you’ve been to CU, you’ll see the resemblance in the stone work.
