Exceptionally located within a large private property with forests and fields, this spacious, comfortable Swedish house awaits you for family vacation. Ideal for: walks in the surrounding forest; trekking; biking; wildlife watching; cross country skiing; and sightseeing places of interest such as nearby Bastogne (5 kms), La Roche-en-Ardenne (24 kms), Saint-Hubert (34 kms), Durbuy, Han-sur-Lesse, etc. Kids most welcome ! The space Only five kilometers away from Bastogne, this house is exceptionally located at the heart of a family-owned property consisting of forests, fields, and a small river on an historical site (alt. 500 m). The house was built in 1956 as a family vacation house in the Swedish style. It is very spacious (300 sq m) and surrounded by a very large garden with BBQ/garden equipment, a large garage area with ping-pong table, etc.
 Apart from a small "twin" house 80m away, the house is fully isolated in the woods. What a perfect environment to relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Activities are abundant: there are ample opportunities for walks in the surrounding woods; biking; wildlife watching; cross-country skiing (in the winter), etc. You can visit Bastogne, the epicenter of the 1944 Battle of the Bulge with its famous memorial and new war museum, La Roche-en-Ardennes and its large medieval castle, Saint-Hubert and its ancient cathedral (with an internationally renowned music festival in July), etc. There are some nice restaurants in the Bastogne area. For rainy days, Bastogne has an indoor swimming pool and a public library where you can borrow from a large selection of books and cartoon strips. The living area is organized on a single level. It has :

 1 well-equipped kitchen; 
 1 very large living/dining room with fireplace (firewood can be purchased in Bertogne);
 1 smaller dining room near the kitchen, 
 2 bathrooms (both with toilet); 
 1 extra separate toilet (there are thus 3 WCs in the house); 
 a convenient changing room in the cellar;
 and a large garage area with a ping-pong table. 
All but one bedrooms have their own sink with warm water. 
It is a real family house, so although everything is fine, don't expect the Ritz when it comes to amenities. Every bed is equipped with a duvet and extra blankets for cold nights. YOU MUST, HOWEVER, BRING YOUR OWN DUVET COVER, BOTTOM BED SHEET, AND HANDTOWELS ! KIDS WELCOME! There are 2 small beds (for small kids) that you can use together with 2 baby seating chairs, and boxes of toys kids love playing with (legos, playmobils, animal farm, etc. ) The house has a large garage space with a ping-pong table where you can store your sport equipment such as bikes, muddy boots, etc.
