Reef Cottage is situated in the Cariatiz which is the valley of the villages. A beautiful rural location the pretty garden is a perfect place to relax with a good book and a drink. For the more adventurous there are the coves bars and restaurants The space Reef Cottage Master bedroom has en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has an adjacent wet room, comfortable lounge and archway to kitchen. Guests have the use of a barbecue, large sun terrace, beautiful garden and pool, with great views of the surrounding mountains. Master bedroom: twin/double bed, 2 bedside cabinets, chest of draws and hanging space. Doorway leading to en-suite shower room, with roman bath, the wash basin is from the local potteries in Nijar. Family room: twin/double bed, 2 chests of draws, blanket box, hanging space, chair and round glass table. Another single bed or cot may be added if required. the ceiling has beautiful old beams, giving a real Spanish farmhouse feel. Shower/wet room is adjacent. Lounge has a very cottage feel, sofa , chair, dinning table and chairs, Sideboard. Smart TV, DVD and Android Box. Alcove to Andalucian kitchen with fridge, gas hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, and sink. Plastic plates, bowels cool box etc great for a picnic, pots, pans and cooking utensils. Beach towels supplied at a small nominal fee, no need to pack what you don't need. Home from home. Outside Beautiful established gardens, outside lighting and power sockets, outside Reef Cottage there is a tiled table and 4 chairs ideal for breakfast. There is a large purpose built BBQ and stone dining table seating up to 12 comfortably, Spanish bread oven. Path and stairs down to pool (New Pool for 2021). Table chairs and parasol. 4 sun lounges with a pretty surrounding garden. Past the stone table there is an outside toilet, raised area with table, chairs and 2 seat cane sofa furniture. Suitable for children but parents are totally responsible for the safety of their children, cot (1) and highchairs (2) available NOTE: Summer time in rural Spain can lead to water shortages which means the mains water is frequently turned off, at Reef Cottage we have the unique facility of back-up water tanks so our quests are not inconvenienced. There are fans available for the hot summer months and heaters for the cooler months. Other things to note Reef Cottage is ideally situated for beautiful long walks, wonderful roads for cycling and motorcycling. We can suggest tracks for walks. This is a great base for exploring the rich wildlife, birds and flora of eastern Andalucia. Because of its rural location and because it is at the foot of the Sierra de Los Filabres many birds and flowers can be seen in the immediate vicinity. There are also a number of diverse habitats to explore on easy day trips. The only true desert in Europe at Tabernas, high mountains of the Sierra Nevada and coastal salt lagoons, steppe and volcanic hills of Cabo de Gata are just a few. Birds typical of the Mediterranean and southern Europe are plentiful and are joined by rare and specialised species such as Trumpeter Finchs and Dupont’s Lark and Sandgrouse as well as a wealth of migrants in spring and autumn.
