Cougar Cabin
Welcome to your own conveniently located, quiet and cozy cabin! This is the lower unit of a duplex in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood, only a few blocks from the bus route and downtown, just over 1 mile to the WSU campus. This unit sleeps up to four (one queen bed and two twin sleepers), has a comfortable living room, full kitchen, and remodeled bathroom with laundry stack. No cleaning fee, minimal check out instructions. This unit is a self-contained apartment in a duplex (you may hear sounds from the residents above; a noise machine and fan are provided). The knotty pine walls, comfortable furniture, and cheery decor make this a cozy and relaxing space. The bedroom has a comfortable queen memory foam mattress, warm down comforter and quality linens, and the living room has a twin sofabed and also an ottoman that converts to a twin sleeper (78"x28"x16"; all linens provided), and a 32" smart tv with streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, etc. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and dishware service for eight (coffee and tea provided), and the bathroom has a stacked laundry washer/dryer. We are just a few blocks from downtown, and the WSU campus is just over a mile away. NOTE: For guests' peace of mind, we adhere to Airbnb cleaning policies, including washing all linens (including blankets, duvet covers, shower curtain), vacuum and mop all floor surfaces, and disinfect all high touch surfaces between guests. We are a fully Covid-immunized family. Window AC unit can be setup prior to check-in, upon request. Guests have access to all of the Unit B, except for the padlocked storage closet. Guests also have exterior access to the front sidewalk and front lower deck. Your electrical panel is located on the east side of the upper unit stairs (just outside your unit's front kitchen window), so if you throw a breaker you'll need to climb the stairs towards Unit A, keep going past the Unit A entrance to the panel on the south (front) side of the house. But generally the upper yard, east patio, and backyard are reserved for the upper unit tenants. My family lives just a few blocks away, so I am just minutes away if you need anything. This is a quiet, established family-oriented neighborhood: a child-friendly park and an elementary school are both nearby. We are just a block away from the bus route, and only few blocks from downtown, and the Grand Avenue Greenway. The 12’x10’ deck located directly in front of the unit is for exclusive guest use; we ask guests to please be considerate of the neighbors with outside noise, and also be especially careful of slippery surfaces in inclement weather. No parties, no pets, no smoking of any substances anywhere on the property.
