Cabin on a permaculture farm

Welcome to our straw-earth hut, nestled under majestic oaks, in the heart of a permaculture farm. This rustic cabin is perfect for hikers, adventurers, anyone looking for a simple and atypical place. Come and read a book by the wood stove or relax in our outdoor Nordic bath. A unique stay, in harmony with nature, awaits you here, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ideal for recharging and reconnecting with the essentials. The space Welcome to Ferme de la Goursaline! RATE: The base price per night is for two people. Dogs are allowed in the cabin but we ask you to wipe their paws at the entrance when the weather is wet. THE SPACE: The cabin includes a convertible bed with two mattresses of 80cm x 200cm (i.e. a queen bed 160x200 for two people). The kitchen is equipped with 4 gas hobs, a gas oven, a fridge, a sink and all the utensils for cooking. An Italian coffee maker is available. We also provide salt, sugar and some oil. The bathroom is equipped with a dry toilet and a shower. Explanations will be provided upon check-in. As a permaculture farm, our cottages are designed to minimize our impact on the environment, which is why we invite you to use natural products for your body care (shower). Consider taking slippers or indoor shoes. SMALL CATERING: Depending on our availability, we can offer wood-fired pizzas or another small catering offer. Don't hesitate to ask us if you're interested! NORDIC BATH: The farmhouse has a wood-fired Nordic bath located on the upper part of the grounds, facing the sunsets. If you would like to book the hot tub during your stay, we advise you to let us know at the time of booking. Since we have several cottages, the hot tub may not be available all the time. We do not provide (yet) bathrobe, so please provide a bathrobe, towel or other for the journey from the cottage to the bath (approx. 100m). Price: €45/session of 2 hours max for 2 people. HEATING - STOVE: The cabin is heated by a stove which is the ONLY source of heating. A wooden basket is ready upon arrival at the cottage and corresponds to a wooden need for your stay. Any additional basket will be charged in addition (€5). If possible but without commitment, we try to light the stove before your arrival if the temperatures are low but being new parents, we cannot commit to this service. If we cannot heat the cottage before your arrival no worries, the cottage being small, it heats up quickly. Thanks for your understanding. Then, during the course of your stay, it is your responsibility to heat the accommodation, but we will give you the explanations and are in principle available to help if needed. INTRODUCTION TO PERMACULTURE: Immersion in an autonomous place: For about 3 hours, we share the basics of permaculture through our way of living in the place: producing, building, nourishing the soil, managing water, energy and animals. You will discover concrete systems rarely visible elsewhere (eco-constructions, masonry stove, dry toilets, compost, overall management of the place) and the logic that connects them. The initiation leaves a lot of room for discussion, questions and reflection to leave with applicable keys at home. Price: €50/person (free for children under 16) - Duration: 2.5-3 hours Guest access Please call us when you arrive at the bottom of the field, next to the "Ferme de la Goursaline" sign, so that we can show you the access to your cottage. Other things to note To immerse yourself in permaculture and its ethics, we suggest, without obligation of course, during your stay with us, to also act on your mode of consumption, by favoring purchases from local producers and avoiding producing waste.
