Downstairs we have a formal Lounge which Guests will see on arrival. Upstairs is a Guest Lounge with a coffee table and comfortable lounges and a Guest TV and your bathroom and separate toilet. These may be shared by other Guests if there are any. You are welcome to watch TV, but not during the "Quiet Time” (9pm until 10am) please. Other Guests may be trying to sleep. Outside on the front and rear verandahs are outdoor furniture where you may sit, eat and relax. Usually you will have the choice of sunshine or shade. We ask that Guests do not eat or drink (except water) in their bedrooms because if you spill anything it is very difficult to get the room ready for the next Guest(s). It is ok to eat and drink in the Guest Lounge, downstairs at the Dining Table or outside on the front or back verandahs. Su and I are very experienced Hosts. We have been married for 38 years and have always had Guests staying with us in our home. We enjoy it and for us it is almost like travelling when me meet new people. Guest access WHEN YOU ARRIVE PLEASE CONTACT ME BY PHONE so that Su or I may welcome you and we can have the pleasure of showing you around our beautiful home. Our front door is a glass door to the left of a blue door on our front verandah. Please get to the verandah using our driveway and a short path on your left. Please do not knock on the door. If I am in the garden I probably will not hear the knocking. Your comfort, convenience and health and safety are very important to us. Consequently, we ask you not to wear shoes indoors. We believe that shoes can collect “stuff” from footpaths and public toilets that we prefer to be left outside near the front door and not trodden through our floors and carpets. And we ask that bags with wheels are not dragged across the wooden floors. There are many street car parking spaces available. There is no parking time limit and no cost. The record is 11 months (Guest not able to return to Australia due to Covid). Buses into the city can be caught at the end of Lukin Street. The local Clayfield train station is a 5 minute walk. Numerous restaurants and fast food outlets are 5 minutes walk away at or near the intersection of Junction Road and Sandgate Road. Airport transfers $20 per room per transfer. Early Checkin and late Checkout may be available (subject to the needs of Departing Guests and/or Arriving Guests) for $10 per hour. Please note that the “Service Fee” that Airbnb charge you is actually an Airbnb “Booking Fee” and goes to Airbnb. We do NOT receive it ourselves, because it is NOT a cleaning fee. During your stay Su and I enjoy meeting new people. We are both advocates of the Australian song, "We are one, but we are many" which to us is equivalent to the Australian National Anthem. We will help you to the very best of our ability with advice and information if asked to do so. On the other hand, we also respect your privacy. It is our wish that you Love Australia as we do and take with you happy memories of your stay. Other things to note (1) Check in is at any time between 2pm and 2am the following morning. Check out time is 10am. And we offer airport transfers at any time (24/7) for $20 per trip per room. If you are checking in late, for instance from a late flight and then your flight is delayed your pickup is still ok, no problem. I sometimes do pickups after 1am (0100) or later when necessary. This is not a problem for me. (2) Early checkin may be available depending on the needs of thr previous Guests ($10/hour). However, you may drop off your bags before midday and return later for check in. (3) Late check out ($10/hour) is only available if it does not interfere with the arrival and check in time of the next Guests who have booked the room.
