'Kittiwake' is the large 5 bedroom home of a local fishing family in Inner Hope. Sue and Dave live in one small part of the house, while visitors have the greater part with well equipped accommodation with its own entrance, living and kitchen facilities. It lies in the valley leading to Bolberry, a few minutes walk to the beach, the beautiful thatched cottages of the square', and the stunning Cliff Paths. Outer Hope village and shop is just across the beach. The space This spacious upstairs apartment, with additional downstairs rooms when required, have views towards the sea, with the safe sandy beaches which are only 150 metres level walk away. From couples to 10 people can be catered for in any combination of 4 different bedrooms and bathrooms, with some extra bedding options. The atmosphere is homely with access to much local knowledge available to the guest. Short stays and weekends are possible out of the main season with the provision of breakfast packs if required Accommodation: Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, 1 kingsize with balcony, + ensuite bathroom with whirlpool bath, shower over, toilet, bidet: 1 double with 2nd bathroom and large hot airing/ drying cupboard. Open plan living room kitchen, with a double sofa bed, +TV, video, DVD. The kitchen area equipped with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. There is an additional seating area on the large landing with a sofa which comprises 2 single beds, moveable if required. Wi fi access. All linen, towels, bathrobes and heating are included. 2 high chairs and cots are available on request. Duvets and pillows can be feather or polyester as requested. Downstairs: Family lounge 3 sofas + additional chairs, piano, TV, Blu Ray, log fire 3rd bedroom, double bed + two bunks + sink, full bathroom opposite 4th bedroom, twin - two singles + ensuite shower room Sheltered garden with deck ,sun- loungers and dining furniture. Seat 8. Further 4 seat table and chairs on lawn. BBQ available Full size table tennis. Further Garden cabin with double bed available for an additional cost. Your hosts are Sue and David, each of whom offer incredible local knowledge and insight. Sue is a local artist and basketmaker, who runs occasional workshops on making traditional willow crabpots and basket making. David is the last fulltime working crab fisherman living in Hope Cove. Crabs and lobsters are available to order, weather permitting. Guest access Garden and patio, garden access is along the side of the house. Garden fences are paddock style so dogs need to be supervised. Guests have sole use of the front door and their own keys. We use a side door and can be completely separate from guests, although our kitchen door can be open onto the main hallway. You can interact with us as much or little as you wish. Other things to note Inner Hope is the traditional heart of the village with its square of thatched cottages, coastguard cottages, Lifeboat stations and Fishermen’s Reading Room. Outer Hope with shop, pub, cafe and art gallery is a a 10 minute stroll across the beach - or the cliff path when the tide is in.
