Welcome to the River House! A unique rental located in a quiet town along the Allegheny River 35 miles north of Pittsburgh. This second story unit has modern amenities nestled in a Victorian House built in 1862. Located directly across from Kittanning Riverfront Park & Amphitheater. Close proximity to Rails to Trails, Buttermilk Falls, boat launch, trout streams, and many other outdoor activities. Come relax on your private balcony, on the deck over-looking the river, or on the dock. A set of stairs on our front porch lead you up to your private entrance and private balcony. Once inside there are no shared spaces with us. The suite has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, one full bathroom, living room, equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator / vintage electric stove + oven / microwave / Keurig, and dining area. We provide towels and bedding. If you prefer to bring your own, please let us know. Guests have access to the river front deck, property leading down to the water, and our dock. You are welcome to bring your own kayaks / paddle boards to launch from the dock or shore. Must be able to carry down a flight of stairs and a slightly rocky footpath. Traveling in by boat? Use our dock for an extra fee. Must sign waiver as well. ***Use of dock is seasonal and based on the river's water levels. We do not have a set schedule of when the dock is placed in the river and taken out for the season.*** You may see us around on the front porch or down by the water with the dogs. This is a pretty calm and quiet neighborhood. Although we have chosen to keep the suite pet free, the little town is quite dog friendly. Pretty sure almost everyone on our block has a dog or three! Street parking is available in front of our place. Walmart, Aldi, and Shop n' Save are within a 5 minute drive. A few restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance across the river.
