Quite Somerset Cottage with garden views
Description
A unique cottage often described as a reflection of what excites me about life. The decor, objects, art, books, and outdoor spaces showcase my creative style and personality. A beautifully crafted Grade II listed cottage, ideal for families or groups of friends seeking something special. A rural spot adjacent to the third largest complex of standing stones in the UK within easy access to local markets (and clubs!) in Bath, Wells, and Bristol. Scenic walks and cycle routes in every direction. The space A deceptively spacious large period stone cottage with origins dating back to the 17th century and enjoys deep set windows and thick walls. On the ground floor there is a full equipped 'cooks' kitchen which has been refitted with bi-fold doors and Velux roof lights making it a lovely bright space to cook and socialise. On the inside it opens up to a dining area and the main living area which boasts beams and a huge inglenook fireplace with wood burner. The living room leads onto a downstairs family bedroom with a double bed and two singles. Stairs led unto the first floor landing. Off the landing there is the master bedroom with en suite shower and loo, the family bathroom with bath (shower, bath and loo), a cosy double room and a twin room with windows to the front and rear of the property. We have recently created a chill out zone for games, reading and playing on the second floor for daytime use. Extra space for when you need more space! Guest access We have a key pad that will unlock the front door. We will leave an additional key fob with a key to the back door too. Other things to note It enjoys easy access into Chew Magna (a bit of a foodie hub) either by foot, bike or road. Chew Valley os unique to the West Country, comprising some 35,000 acres of unspoilt and protected countryside which occupies the middle ground of the Bath, Bristol and Wells triangle. Dominating the scene are the Chew Valley and Blagdon Lakes, notable for their fishing, birdlife, sailing and nature study amenities. We are very 150 metres from the Stanton Drew stone circles, the third largest complex of prehistoric standing stones in England, the three circles and three-stone ‘cove’.
