Henrietta's Hut
Henrietta's Hut
Description
Henrietta's Hut is a delightfully whimsical, traditional styled Shepherds Hut, named after a previous owner of our Heritage Property where the wagon now resides. Henrietta, once lived at this very address and grew lavender and flowers in the garden to make soaps and lotions. Conveniently located between Queenstown & Arrowtown, this is the perfect base to retreat back too after exploring everything the adventure capital of the world has on offer. The space Tea & Coffee making facilities are included along with a fridge and toaster, unfortunately cooking is not permitted inside the wagon and no cooking facilities are provided. Traditional shepherd's huts were used by shepherds during sheep raising and lambing. The use of shepherd's huts by farmers reached a peak in the late 19th century and dwindled in the 20th century with the advent of mechanised farm machinery. Today many of these huts have been repurposed to provide bespoke accommodation. Other things to note IF THE DATES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ARE BOOKED. Check out our other listing, search for WILLIAM'S WAGAON. www.airbnb.co.nz/h/williamswagon This is another Shepherds Hut that we have on the property. Same Same, but Different :)
