Description
This is a Black Room; edgy, artsy, private bedroom with a real bed. It is a small cozy room with your own private writing desk, chair, personal A/C & nice wood floors throughout the entire apartment. It's centered in the mix of all - East Village! You'll LOVE my young vibrant hood! Great transit and easy to move around. The space PLEASE READ CAREFULLY... If you want 29 night stay, or less (25 days) please reach out and see if I can offer you a special rate or discount for less days. This listing is a "shared space" {with me only.} There is a cleaning fee of $150. for over a month stay- an additional cleaning fee will be added. Airbnb only applies the 1st month. I welcome traveler’s, students and professionals. However, I prefer to host people who will be spending more time outside than at home - people who are actively working, going to school, and for traveler’s - those that are discovering NYC. The "Black Room" - a private bedroom with a door. I have a separate room and will be in my own bedroom. If you want the whole flat to yourself; look into my other listing where I do offer the entire flat. However, that option is not always available. Check for the dates. Note: Fees are higher for the entire flat. For this listing {Private Bedroom} The flat is conveniently located in the heart of the East Village, in Manhattan. 2 blocks from Union Square, Thompson Square Park, and Hospital 2 blocks away, and close to all transit systems. It's a "young, lively, and vivacious neighborhood!" Lots of great restaurants and farmers markets, and more. Electricity & WIFI is included. A huge plus is a filtration water system in both the kitchen and shower/sink. This is a 30-day minimal sublease to 12 weeks or more. However, I can accommodate 25 days with a discounted rate. If you’re seeking shorter stays or longer than 12 weeks, feel free to message me directly so we can discuss. Also, note there is an additional cleaning fee for each additional month added. Even if you extend for 1 or 2 weeks extra. Airbnb collects the cleaning fee for the 1st month only. Be mindful that this shared space with me. Although on occasions I do share food, it’s not to be expected, it’s only when I offer. You are welcome to use/cook in the kitchen as it is fully equipped. A small kitchen however, great for cooking. Also, I will make space in the fridge for your food. Now the Apartment! The whole flat is Artsy, Cozy, cute, SMALL - 650 sq ft {60.387 SM} a typical NYC apartment / Flat - I do have high ceilings except for the bedrooms due to the lofted space. This unit is a 2 bedroom located in East Village near Union Square, NYC. Young vivacious area, close to everything! This listing is only for the "Black Room." I live in the apartment / Flat - I will be sharing the space with you. Consider this a roommate situation. Please be clear and if you have questions, send me a note. Amenities: 2nd Floor Flat / Apartment - conveniently next to the Lift / Elevator. This is a rarity in the East Village. Stairs in the building - Pro: laundry room located on the same floor. We do recylce in the building. Please be respectful to the recycling rules! This is a Small Private BDRM - Bedroom that has a TWIN {single} size, comfortable {subjective} bed. A writing desk with a chair/ personal AC - also a small closet & 2 drawers space is available for your belongings if needed. The room has a blackout shade at the door, no light should sneak in the bedroom from the living room. I provide clean sheets and towels on a weekly and bi-weekly basis, along with toiletries such as toilet paper, hand and body soap, shampoos, and conditioner. A blow dryer, curling, flat iron, and a clothes iron are available upon request. Small {shared} clean Kitchenette - you are welcome to use it at any time. Just please keep it clean! You will also have space to store your food in the fridge. You must clean up after yourself at all times, especially whenever using the kitchen and bathroom since it’s a common space and those are prone to bacteria. Food or trash should not be left out overnight. Throw out into the incinerator located on the same floor. All foods must be eaten in the kitchen area only, NOT in the bedroom, please. There are two bar stools in the kitchen area for seating - only small snacks and drinks are allowed in the bedroom. Keep your space clean. There will be some items that I have that I do offer my guest. Please ask what those things are. 1 {shared} Bathroom - very narrow, long, roomy, with an unusually huge tub - not common here in the city or the East Village. The bathroom is kept very clean and sterile at all times. I clean it every 3 days. The laundry room is in the building {on the same floor - NOT FREE - you must pay by using your "cc" and you must supply your detergent which can be purchased at the grocery store on the corner. I would suggest the drop-off laundry service up the block if it makes things easier. Super lives in the building {he's very attentive, and friendly, he gets the work done quickly!} Please reach out to him if an emergency. Free WiFi in the Unit Very clean and well-kept, cozy "little" ART home. I only ask that you please keep it as clean as you found it. Also, consider this a roommate situation; you need to clean up after yourself, especially in the bathroom and kitchen area. Be mindful and respectful. And treat it as it’s your own home. Bi-weekly cleaning service is 'not' included in the fees - It's only a one-time fee - but for the second month or per month - additional fee of 125.00 must be paid. If you taking my whole flat on your own and want extra cleaning - the fee is given directly to the cleaning lady. Extra cleaning is optional and an extra charge will be billed to you via Airbnb. I prefer 'NON SMOKERS' please! If you smoke, please not in the apartment. No exceptions! Vape pens are ok in your own space only. Keep in mind, that this is an artist's home... it's not big, it is however a typical NYC size apartment / flat. It is big enough for two people. It is my home, I am an artist and I live here in this flat. You will find art and interesting things around the apartment, including lots of books. Again, It is SMALL flat, but very cozy - I only have the essentials and I call this place "Home." This is NOT a service apartment or a hotel. Keep that in mind when booking. I only repeat myself bc it seems that many people miss the details of the listing and when leaving a review, they state the obvious as if they were surprised. All the PERKS: The Bus stop is right in front of the building. "L" train on the corner. Union Square is two blocks away {access to the almost all the train lines - L, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, and R} Traders Joe, Whole Food market, and an Organic Market 1 to 2 blocks away. Lots of great restaurants in the area too! The Hospital and a small Park is located just a block away. Cool parks are within walking distance such as Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park. Both are very fun, active, colorful and very New York - a must-see and experience! Both are Staples of the East Village. NOTE: Workout equipment is in the living room space as shown in my listing - The living room area is not made to lounge around in. Meaning, I have no sofas ... and no TV, only workout devices. Reference the images posted on my listing. My images are exactly as in this listing except when I decide to move furniture around at times. All is basically as you see in the images. No hidden agendas or descriptions. While there is NO TV in the Apt.. I have LOTS of Books that you can sink your mind into! All I ask is take good care of my books and put it back in their place. They are not for you to keep or take. If you are a certified trainer for the "Gyrotonic" system, you are welcome to use both machines with no additional fee {as you know that's pretty reasonable}... I must see your gyro lic 1st and you must notify me before use In order to use the equipment. Otherwise, no one should use or be on top of them at all! Under any circumstances unless you want to be trained by me. That would be an additional fee. Note; I am not liable for any injuries caused on my machines if you take the liberty of using them without my knowledge or consent. These machines are also very expensive... If the machines are damaged... we will need to discuss fees to restore. Clean bed sheets and towels are included along with toiletries such as toilet paper, shampoo, hair conditioner, hand and body soap. There is a personal AC in the black room! If you want to wash your own sheets since this is now a monthly stay, you are welcome to do so. Please understand, while this is an Airbnb, not everything in the apartment is for your use. I would rather you ask before taking or assuming it’s ok to use. I only offer what is in your bedroom and I will indicate to you all the toiletries that are for your use. Everything else is mine and solely for my use only. Last but not least, I am always around if you need to communicate... even if I am traveling you can reach me by phone. If there is an issue and you DO NOT communicate with me, I can not solve the problem promptly! You must and should reach me immediately if there is a concern or problem. Even if I am traveling, you can contact my son if you can not get a hold of me - contact me 1st! Again, I cannot stress enough that I cannot address any issues if I am not aware or informed of the problem. Communication is key! My aim is for you to have the best and most comfortable experience while you are sharing my space with me. I want you to feel at home! Do not hesitate to contact me. I will be the one greeting you upon your arrival unless I am traveling or working; in which case my son will greet you. Either way, contact me 1st if you run into any issues during your stay with me. If you lose the house keys, there is an additional fee of $55 US dollar. Before your arrival, communicate your travel information at least 2 days before to make proper arrangements for a fast check-in. Any questions, feel free to ask. For stays longer than a month, there is an extra cleaning fee which for some reason Airbnb doesn't adjust however, I will add if you extend. That fee is $125. per month. Stay healthy and safe! I look forward to hosting you soon! Guest access You have access to the bathroom, and common areas in the apartment. Only area that is not accessible is my bedroom and workplace that's above my bedroom. I provide clean sheets and towels. I offer some foods, snacks {although all my guest usually eats out, or have their own. You are welcome to use the fridge for your food storage} Kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics including a french press. Two bar stools in the kitchen for sitting while you eat! Only request; Clean up after yourself please! **Black room has its own AC for hot summer days and there is another portable AC in the living room! Also, I want to repeat just in case you missed it - there is no TV in the flat / Apt. However, I have lots of books! Nowadays, everyone uses their laptops for entertainment. Please note... the living room has equipment and its Not set up to use as a lounge. Of course you have access however, there's no sofa in the living room area. Please check the pictures for reference. Thank you! During your stay As frequently as needed Other things to note I do not have a real living room set, like sofa and the normal living room set up. I have my workout equipment suited in the center of my living space. If a lounging area is important to you, my apt won't be the most suitable of place to stay. One of the bedroom {Black room} has a new air conditioner and there is also a portable AC in living room. And NO TV! No Smoking and No Shoes in the apartment. Thank you.
