A little freedom

Welcome to Kaivala Lodge! Kaivala means freedom, because we would like to give our guests this feeling during their stay (adults only). Charco del Palo is surrounded by volcanic hills and has its own mild microclimate and picturesque natural swimming pools all year round. The most beautiful buildings of César Manrique are in the immediate vicinity. The space Just 150 meters from the rocky bay “Monkey Rock” is the detached house with a large garden, which is divided into two levels. The “little freedom” on the upper floor has a terrace with sun loungers and a dining area. Large panoramic windows, in the style of César Manrique, provide a fantastic view of the sea. All rooms are equipped with loving details. Furniture, lamps and decorative items are handmade and available in our concept store “Lanzastil.” The kitchen is spaciously furnished with a bar, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, espresso machine and thus also suitable for a longer stay. Here you have everything you need to feel at home. Smart TV and a stable WiFi connection for the home office are a matter of course for us. In the garden is the laundry house with a washing machine (2h for €2). There is also a grill and an outdoor shower for use by all guests of Kaivala Lodge. There is a sauna (max. 60º/no infusion) that can be booked by the house guests. Charco del Palo is the only nudist resort in the Canary Islands. Nudism is welcome here but not mandatory. The local supermarket is open until 6 pm and sells fresh bread. You can also place orders for meat, fish, vegetarian/vegan products there. There is also a small bar. The closest restaurants are located at the entrance of Mala. Further shopping and restaurants are available in the neighboring villages of Arietta, Guatiza and the villages of Haría or Teguise, where every Saturday or Sunday is market day. We are happy to pass on our insider tips for good food to guests. Guest access To use the sauna (max. 60º/no infusion), you have to insert 6x€2 coins into the machine. We ask for agreement (date+time) to coordinate with other guests. The washing machine also works with coin insertion 2h/€2. It is located right next to the sauna. Other things to note We have to register each guest with the authorities and therefore ask for a copy of the identification documents in advance.
