Description
Our self-catering cottage, nestled in the Lake District, dates back to the 17th century. Full of character, it’s well-equipped with cosy wood-burning stoves and charming oak beams. Located along a peaceful country lane in tranquil Lorton Vale, it’s just 1½ miles from the picturesque village of Lorton. Crummock, Buttermere, and Loweswater lakes are nearby, offering stunning walks for all abilities. We’ve also upgraded to a reliable new WiFi provider for your convenience. The space There is a large garden at the front of the property so you can enjoy the stillness of Lorton Valley and views across the valley with Melbreak nestling in the distance. There are two double rooms and one single room with a loo upstairs. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove, dining room, a kitchen where you can also eat, bathroom with a bath and rainfall shower and a utility room with a washing machine. Guest access There is ample parking in the yard - up to three cars comfortably where you can close the front gate for security. Other things to note There are several seating areas in the garden for outdoor dining and enjoying the views.
