Misty Isle Cottage is a modernised traditional Croft House, overlooking Uig Bay. Standing in it's own large garden, our comfortable cottage sleeps up to 6 adults in two doubles and one twin bedroom. The family kitchen leads through to the lounge and out to the conservatory dining room with it's stunning sea views. The master bedroom and main bathroom are on the ground floor for ease of access. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, one double and one twin, as well as the second bathroom. The space Perfect for everyone, from walkers or climbers, birdwatchers and photographers, cyclists or canoeists and those just looking for some peace and quiet. I Unfortunately, due to greatly increased cleaning costs because of the Covid pandemic, we can only entertain guests who want at least a five day visit. Ideally, Monday to Friday. Check out is 10 am and check in is from 5pm onwards due to the required enhanced cleaning protocol. Please contact us if different times preferred. Guest access We have a large, mature garden for guests to enjoy and the shore front is only a short stroll away. The main gate in leads to the gravelled driveway with parking for up to three cars. The entrance facing the parking area is the kitchen door, technically the 'back door'. The home is not a problem for those with mobility challenges but we would not recommend it for those guests who rely on a wheelchair full time. The unspoilt beauty of the Isle of Skye offers something for everyone, whether you are a keen outdoors person or just want to escape your busy life for a week of peace and quiet with stunning views. Other things to note We provide a small 'Welcome' set but guests can use the two shops in the village and the main centre of Portree has a large supermarket and shops, only a 20 minute drive away. Our cottage is over a 120 years old and this is reflected in some of the features of the building. Those using the upstairs bedrooms will soon appreciate the small winding staircase and we ask that all guests use the handrail provided.
