Please note that due to the rural location of our house the property is a 7night minimum except over Christmas & New Year - when we combine the festive period. The Hunting Lodge nestled in the Castleairy estate is a 4 bedroom wood and stone Austrian chalet set in its own private grounds and managed woods with large open spaces and complete privacy. Situated in the Cairngorm National Park 3 miles from the town of Kingussie and 12 miles from Aviemore. The space Situated in the Cairngorm National Park, the property enjoys a variety of wildlife and proximity to many of the parks attractions. The main house was built in 2000 to very high specifications and sleeps 8 in comfort with an additional foldout sofa bed in a common spaces. The house has large comfortable open rooms, log burning fireplaces and comfortable décor. The alpine construction makes the house supper cosy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The house is set up for rental and has all the items a modern home and family would require including internet, TV, games room, washing, dryer, dishwasher, office printer, phone and fax if required! The Highland Wildlife Park where the first born Polar Bear in Britain since Victorian times was born earlier this year 2018 being hugely popular this summer. There is also The Highland Folk Museum, The 18th century ruins of Ruthven Barracks, The Cairngorm funicular railway as well as an operational historic steam railway between Aviemeore and Boat of Garten. Hiking, mountain biking, go karts, skiing and the water sports complex located at Loch Insh provide some of the many many distractions and adventures and should the weather be foul, the house itself has a games room with 100’s of board games , extensive library, music and films collections. We dont accept guest pets in the main house. However by request they can stay in the annex lounge. The house is normally rented on a 7 night minimum due to our remote location, size of property and time required for cleaning. However during the winter festive period we combine Christmas & New Year into one. Please message for availability and your requirements. Guest access There is a keeper who will assist you in access to the house and show new guests around and a lock box arrangement for return clients and out of hour arrivals. Other things to note There are high chairs and cots available on request. However there are wood burning stoves in the house - please mind your children - Safety First Please!
