Campsite in Bryson City

This is such unique experience! A one of a kind Caboose Camper by the creek. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. has its own deck to sit outside and listen to the Creek, along with a large 3 person hammock stand. On the property you will also find a charcoal grill, firepit and shared laundry room when needed. This is in such a perfect spot! Less than 1 mile from the Great Smoky Mountains National park entrance and only a couple of minutes to downtown Bryson City,NC. The space *we now have wifi!* This is definitely for train lovers! A very unique experience in a caboose camper. Built by Semaphore Industries in Williamsburg, Ohio in the early 70's. There were approximately 800 of them made, and very few are still in existence. We found this one recently in NY and have placed it Creek side with a covered deck in Bryson City. If you enjoy the outdoors, nature, camping but with a comfortable bed, bathroom and kitchen then you will love it! I have only found 2 still in existence and each one unlike the other inside. We have left some things original to experience what it was like staying in one during the very early 70's, while updating other things to make your stay more comfortable. The Dinette table turns into a large twin and the bedroom has a queen bed. The kitchen is equipped with a large toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom is Tiny, tall people would have to slouch in the shower :) but does have a full shower and completely hooked up toilet. The Caboose is steps to the creek and in a beautiful setting with a covered porch and rocking chairs. Nice yard with fire pit, 3 hammocks and charcoal grill. Located a few minutes from downtown and right by the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 20 minutes from Cherokee and the NOC. We supply linens, towels, dish soap and a start of tp and paper towels. There is also a washer and dryer on the property. If you would like more room for guests we have a bungalow rental nextdoor also listed :) there is privacy between them but easily walking distance. RENTAL 2 PERSON INFLATABLE KAYAK- available to reserve if available $20 a day to take to the lake. Guest access guest also have access to a private firepit, hammocks and park side grill and a shared laundry room next door. Other things to note This is a remodeled vintage caboose camper, it is small but comfortable. the bathroom is tiny (tall people will have to duck in shower :) ) the dinette turns into a bed for up to 2 small kids.
