In the absolute center of Buffalo with easy walks to the best restaurants & shops, The Mini Place is a home-style AirBnB with 2 private double bedrooms plus a king sofabed. Here you can curl up & read next to the fireplace, play games, watch TV, or plot world takeover. Two large dinner tables (e.g., kid/adult). Great WiFi, 400 sf deck with mountain view, and BBQ grill. This makes TMP the perfect place for family or business meetups. Contact us for special pricing/long-term needs (sleeps 6). This is a great place for business travelers or a large family group that wants to meet/conference together. It's also great for reunions, weddings and anniversaries in Buffalo. If your family needs to be here for a loved one in the hospital this is a good place to stay as it's quiet. Call us for a deal to rent the whole place on a long-term basis! The Mini Place is a historic site that was the first permanent US Post Office and Newspaper Office for the Buffalo Bulletin -- and it's filled with history, art, and a 400 sf deck that looks out over the Bighorn Mountains! The deck includes a gas Weber Grill and everything you need for a nice cookout. The commuter kitchenette is stocked and geared for the traveler's needs -- not for the gourmet cook. So there is a stove, small oven, microwave lots of spices, dishes and pans/pots, two small under-the-counter fridges, and a larger fridge in the coffee tea room, etc. There's also a Keurig with reusable coffee pods waiting for you for after dinner or early am. For the tea folks there's a hot water maker, which can also be used for instant soups or oatmeal that we have available in case you come in hungry! The listing says AC, but full disclosure is to say we combine both a large AC unit and the traditional "Swamp Cooler" that is a part of our Western culture. It cools things down, by creating cool airflow. You'll have the whole place to yourself and your family and friends! No sharing with strangers here. Two bedrooms, with a king sofa bed and bunk beds for kids (6 and up). Shared space includes kitchenette, coffee and tea room, extra large open concept living and dining room, bathroom with shower-tub, dedicated WIFI with two computer station desks, and beautiful large mountain view deck with grill, furniture, gazebo, hanging lines for wet suits and a comfy hammock! We'll be there to greet you and help orient you if you get in before 5 or 6pm most days. We have flex check-in at The Mini Place and send you a key code for entry at any time of day or night. Then we'll catch you the next day on any questions, suggestions, or local history. But if you want your privacy, then we respect that too. Just let us know if you want your space. We're from Wyoming -- we get it! If you have problems we're there for you! We want you to love Buffalo as much as we do. So just call us at the number we'll leave in a handy place if you have needs and we'll get back to you in a timely fashion. You will be staying on the second floor of this 1880s building on the National Historic Register! Next door is the Southside Grill with great full breakfast offerings if you want something more than a light breakfast, and very close by there is a local wine bar hangout, down Main Street you will find more bars and restaurants that will fill you up! Plus there are antique and cool second-hand stores galore, art galleries to delight with local artists you will fall in love with just minutes away, and walking trails that start in Crazy Woman Square in the middle of town, which is just outside our door! Start walking and go right into the mountains along the nicely maintained Clear Creek Trail. And, yes, the Bighorn Mountains that are so accessible for hikers, fishing, hunting, and biking are less than a 20-minute drive. Best of all the best and biggest public swimming pool is in the park just a two-minute walk from our door. We really do have it all! All around you is a place filled with Western history. Again, our building is from the 1880s and so are many of the town's nearby gems -- The Jim Gatchel Western Museum, The Occidental Hotel where Owen Wister wrote parts of The Virginian, and many other historic buildings. Buffalo also has sculptures and murals by local artists up and down our streets, so take a walk! Stop in for a brew at The Century Club, a local cowboy bar, with plenty of local color. During the summer there are local musicians and a Farmer's Market in Crazy Woman Square! Did we mention Rodeos and summer events like Longmire Days all during the high season? We are literally just steps from all this and more! The best way to get around is to walk! And you will be located right in the middle of it when you stay at The Mini Place! Parking is street and public parking lots, but there is plenty of it close by and we have things that roll to help you get your stuff from here to there if you need it! But if you need a ride -- your vehicle broke down or whatever -- we have a local ride service. Look in the Our Mini Guide Book inside the foyer for how to contact the BART to get a ride. It's like $1 / ride anywhere inside Buffalo City limits so it's a super deal. And if you need to get picked up in Sheridan or further away - call us and we'll see how we can help! LONG-TERM DISCOUNT PRICING AVAILABLE: We have weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly super economy rates that beat anything out there for business travelers, and families with reunions for small groups traveling together. Long-term RATES DO NOT include Breakfast; Sheets and towels 1x week are exchanged; and prices are per person NOT per room so CONTACT us to send a special offer if you are interested in this kind of arrangement. What this place is not: On the one hand we are very easygoing folks and we love having folks visit -- no matter your background, gender, ethnic or religious beliefs we are very happy to meet you! What we are not is a great place for those who have very young kids who need to throw things around or aren't good around stairs! Older kids are fine as they are able to get out and about and enjoy Buffalo, which is a totally safe place! Adults need to be with kids at all times -- if you need a night out we'll help you find a sitter! But 6 and up is our guideline for kids. Call us if you have questions. Like many old buildings, we are charming but not super modern. We use swamp coolers for most air conditioning, and you need 20 minutes between showers for hot water. For those who have physical disabilities, this is probably not a good place as we only have stair access -- sorry to say there is NO elevator in Buffalo, and there has never been a working elevator in any hotel in Buffalo! However, if you get here during daylight hours we will be happy to help you upstairs with your suitcases or leave you our cool stair climber wagon! It is true that these old buildings have beautiful old staircases -- so you can take your time and enjoy going up and down!
