Chase The Wild Goose offers simple yet comfortable PRIVATE ROOMS with bunk beds in the tradition of youth hostels around the world. It is 2.5 miles from Fort William Centre, near the canal. The space The private bedroom accommodation is situated within ‘Chase The Wild Goose’ and is located in Banavie, a quiet suburb of Fort William. The area is renowned as the home of ‘Neptune’s Staircase’, a series of amazingly engineered locks on the Caledonian Canal. The area is overlooked by the majesty of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain. Banavie is especially popular with those preferring peace away from the noise of Fort William city centre. It has ample amenities, including hotel and bistro cafe with pub and take-aways just 10 mins walk. 'Hogwarts Express' steam train runs nearby and the Nevis Range with gondola and ski-runs are easily accessible by car or mini-bus. The hostel has some parking, with a free overflow Public Car Park nearby. Guest access Guests shall have access to their private Bedroom & shared Shower Room and on request can use shared Common Areas, including Kitchen, Dining Room and Lounge Other things to note • Unless travelling by Late Train guests must Check In before 10:00 pm. • Guests travelling by Late Train - it is VERY important to let us know (message or text us) before 9:00 pm on Arrival Day, so we can arrange Special Access after Reception is closed. Be sure to alight train at Banavie, 250m from Hostel. • You will reserve a PRIVATE code-locked room in a staffed backpackers hostel, in a bedroom located upstairs on the first floor. Other guests may access the bathroom facilities, which are PRIVATE when in use. • You will be provided with freshly laundered bed linen for you to make your own beds, so allow time for this. NOTE: sleeping bags are not permitted. • TOWELS & TOILETRIES are not provided. Please bring your own towel, or hire at Reception. • Keep your rucksack with you or use the locker bank for your stuff. • You may share the lounge, dining room and kitchen facilities. • Buy a ‘Self-Serve Breakfast’ of hot drink, juice, cereal, toast (maybe some fruit will be available). Please wash and dry dishes after use. • There's a Bistro and a Bar nearby for meals, and "early 'til late" food shops 10 mins walk. • The accommodation is closed daily between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm for Cleaning and Maintenance and Staff time off.
