If time or money prevent you from visiting Hobbiton just yet, our earth-sheltered, fantasy architecture home is one that just might be closer for your wee adventure! Charming Tolkienesque styling, filled with antiques and special touches that will transport you. Our design/build project combines old-world charm mixed with all modern conveniences. The cottage has a great view of the valley from the walk-on roof and is only a 5-minute stroll down meadow paths to the Crossman's General Store and town services. Experiences! The Quest for the Arkenstone, Hunt for the Ring, and Bard Bowman's Archery Challenge, Fishing (catch & release or cook one up!), a community LOTR puzzle, board games, darts, a player piano, arts and crafts, bocce, quoits provided all to help you escape technology! Collect organic fresh eggs each day at no charge. Accommodations: There is a queen bed (soft sleep) in the master bed nook which adjoins a full bath with a claw foot tub on the 'Baggs Inn', which is the living side of the space with a full kitchen. The 'Double Dragon Pub,’ has a full queen Murphy bed (med or firm sleep) with a full bath/ shower. The garden includes a claw foot tub for a hot soak and stargazing as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower. A fire-pit for sing-alongs is outside the pub. There is a landline as phone service is spotty...best service is AT&T...but WiFi calling will work. Fiber optic wifi, smart TV...but consider treating yourself to a tech-free weekend. There are darts and board games in the pub, new archery forest, quoits, bocce. Swim in a spring-fed pond, May, June & July...floatation devices provided. Your well-behaved, non-shedding dog under 25 lbs. is welcome with a fee and a refundable deposit. Why we require two reviews to book ~ After any Airbnb stay, you will write a review on your stay and the host will also write a review on your care of their home as well as your level of communication, following the house rules etc. The point of the reviews for the host is to determine the level of cleanliness and respect of property that guests showed in previous stays. Few low doorways. So sorry, but your understanding is appreciated. Guest access Guests are encouraged to 'free-range'!
